Established in 1988, Mayflower Archers has grown to be one of the largest archery clubs in Essex. We have access to our own outdoor shooting ground that is available seven days a week and a gymnasium and sports hall for winter shooting at Mayflower School. Our archers have the support of a qualified coaching team and many experienced archers that have shot at National and International levels.
The club was formed following a series of evening classes run by an existing keen archer and Coach, Mr Frank Flaherty. Since then the club has grown to be the largest in Essex with over 140 members. We have a thriving Junior section and we have seen both seniors and juniors represented in County, Regional, National and International teams
We cater for all archers, both experienced and those that have never picked up a bow before, from the age of 10 upwards. Archery is a family sport and we are fortunate to have a number of family members within the club that makes for a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
