What a great cozy pub, overlooking the Thames and back to the Square Mile. I will become a regular for dinner (at least once every visit) - the menu was expansive but not exhaustive, wine top notch but affordable.
Just love it!
We were lucky enough to get a table and put our order in just before the kitchen closed - and we really cut it fine!
Friendliest of bar staff, super professional despite our chaos.
It's a hidden gem... more down-to-earth than I'd anticipated.
Pies were delicious, salads were good, ham dish (with egg and chips) was satisfying. House red wine was fine. Beers were great!
We went to the Mayflower Pub for Motherâs Day. The experience was great from start to finish. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all excellent. There were even delicious options for the vegetarian in our party. We had a great time!!!
We decided it go to Mayflower instead of Salt Quay today. Because Salt Quay's service was very very poor. I enjoyed the fact that Mayflower is very historic pub and their food and service was top notch. Antique like interior was great and comfortable. Balcony and bench was great and sun was shining so bright. It was a royal wedding and sort of our wedding anniversary and my small family had a great lunch. Also the walk to the thames path is great!! I wish I could live in this area and so depressing going back to Waltham Forest!! lol The dark long hair guy with base ball cap served me very well and I would recommend this pub to everyone and hope to go back again!!
This pub hasn't changed in years. The terrace over the river makes for a great view of Canary Wharf. The prices are London ones. I didn't have a meal so am unable to comment but overheard someone talk about pies with unusual fillings.
This pub has history, enjoyed the atmosphere, fish chips and a pint out on the veranda,a great place to celebrate my sons birthday.
The Mayflower Pub is hands down the best in the ďż˝ the fish and chips were superb and the beer was excellent! Canât wait to go back ďż˝
Ordered a simple burger, it was delicious, juicy in fact, great coleslaw and chips cooked to a good standard. Delightful.
Love the Mayflower. Generations of my family have used this pub and I still return every now and then even though I no longer live in Rotherhithe. Itâs not blessed with all mod cons, you need to realise this is a very old pub. Youâll either love it or hate it. If youâre used to soulless Wetherspoons pubs this isnât for you. Got some decent beers such as Moretti and Camden Hells, itâs not cheap in there but show me a pub in London that is...apart from soulless Wetherspoons
I was in London for four dayâs and this is the only pub I went more than once.
Staff was nice and the food was good and letâs not forget the drinkâs!
Cheerâs!
Cool staff lovely food a pub with amazing history
Beautiful traditional pub with a great selection of beer and ale. The staff are super friendly and helpful - popped in for a quick pint earlier today and sat outside - a member of staff thoughtfully came out to bring us blankets, water and treats for the dog without us having to ask. Thankyou!
We are staying close by and decided to pop in for a pint. The service was brilliant and the food was excellent. But what made me give the score of 100/100 was they have âBetty Stoggsâ on tap. Well done. Thank you
Staff were very attentative and friendly, my daughter and I shared a AntiPasto starter so they offered a larger one, fantastic selection. Main course was mongolian burger with chicked, we did ask for them to hold main course back a little more before we placed order due to large starter, the flavour fantastic, unfortunatly the chicked had dried out an i had to put sauce on it so help the dryness. They apologised but never offered anything as a apology.
Best fish and chips service was Quik and freindly, but got crowded about 1 oâclock, best get there soon after 12
A very nice historic Pub .A good choice of food. The food was very tasty .plus the waiting staff were very friendly .I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone .didn't get to sit in the garden as it was freezing outside. There is a good view of the river from the pub garden though .
Cozy pub, very friendly staff, but the "fish and chips" was not fresh because the fish smelt of NOT FRESH FISH and the taste was terrible...
Amazing food but itâs a shame the chef is not very flexible with the customersâ requirements. I simply asked if I could have sweet potato chips instead of standard chips with my fish and chips (and pay a little extra if needed of course) but the answer was a straight no. Apparently itâs really complicated to make such a swap. Very disappointing customer service.
My worst trip yet. Saw two people in the back of the deck having a quite intimate snog at 4PM. Very handsy and in front of my 12 year old. Maybe this is becoming a place you wonât wonât to bring your kids... itâs a shame. Every time we have visited London weâve come here.
