Meadow Lakes

We had a lovely stay at Meadow Lakes, the children (6 and 3) had a wonderful time on the outdoor play equipment and made lots of friends and they both had fun in the play barn too. We didn’t use the other facilities during our stay but the pool and the cafe looked good.
The location was good for touring, the pitches were spacious and the views from our field ( Poppy field) were lovely,
However there were negatives.
The gradient on our plot was at best on the limit of acceptability for our caravan and was it was difficult to manage with two small children with a floor and a dining table in such a slant and beds that weren’t level.
There was a brand new toilet block in the field with individual bathrooms containing a toilet, wash basin and shower, which should have been great for the children but the water temperature swung rapidly between scalding and freezing and water flow went from adequate to non existent in mid-shower, even when the block wasn’t being heavily used. This needs sorting out!

Very good location, washing facilities were very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Cafe was only open in the evening which was a shame if camping in the rain could do with it open during the day.

This is a great site. Plenty of shower blocks, all in clean condition. The heated pool is lovely, and because of the ticketing system, doesn't get too busy. The views are spectacular and as a lovely bonus, there are some really friendly goats, among other farm animals. Would absolutely recommend this site, the pitches are clean and large, and even though the site was busy when I stayed, it never felt overcrowded.

The most amazing accommodation in Willow Lodge
so comfortable with views across the valley from the wide veranda. Lounge area has sofas, a large table with chairs for dining. Bedrooms & bathrooms are very good, great night's sleep and the showers are super. Would highly recommend Meadow Lakes and all the types of accommodation available.
