We popped in for a coffee & cake today (wanted to try the coffee had read about before we bought a bag!) “Columbian Jazz” really good flavour!

Lovely place, baristas were ace & knew their onions!

We also tried the pizzas a couple of weeks ago & will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu soon!

Thanks guys

We loved this place and we will definitely be coming back. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, I had a Buddha Bowl and it was the nicest salad I’d had for a long time & definitely worth every penny, we also had a massive square scone and a coffee & again they were really nice, the place was packed bursting with happy customers. I would highly recommend to all my family & friends.

User

Very welcoming with a selection of high quality and tasty freshly baked breads/ cakes. Plus a great menu and drinks choice. Will definitely recommend

User

Place was clean and tidy with a menu showing a good variety of veggie dishes plus plenty of meat choices. Order arrived in good time. Busy as it was breakfast and morning coffee time. Food tasted great, a good sized portion too. Would recommend this for others to try excellent food and the atmosphere was friendly. I certainly felt better for having eaten here, they say food is good for the soul, medicine bakery and kitchen hits the spot!

User

If Medicine delivered, this is where I would order my last meal from. Medicine is my happy place. The foods are a work of art, presentation is a joy and the staff are lovely. Took my kids here for breakfast this morning and the only reason they didn’t lick the plate is because I beat them to it!

User

I have always been a fan of this wonderful establishment and in the last week I have visited 3 times. The new menu is fab especially the mushroom rye! The staff are very friendly and have been more than accommodating when I have been there with my baby! Keep up the good work and it’s a wonderful place to have in the village!

User

Huge thanks to Fran and the team for catering at my daughter's wedding, now Mrs Pippa Rayner ( married to Pete) You were great to deal with and the food and service on the day were both outstanding. Couldn't recommend them more highly. Thanks. Liz

User

Great quality baked fresh cakes and breads. Lovely staff and service. I’d highly recommend popping in for a breakfast or even their lunch/evening menu. Can be rather busy at weekends due to high demand but worth a visit if nearby. Loads of parking at the rear and some at front too.

User

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and service. Awesome food and drinks. Highly recommend this place. A must if you are in codsall.

User

Fabulous. We had the vegetarian sharing platter today. It was delicious and plenty of it. Lovely friendly staff too. We will definitely return. Thank you.

User

Delicious vegan food available. The pizza was great. Lovely combination of flavours and the vegan breakfast was huge and really tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the Irish man who took time to explain about the vegan cakes.

User

Brilliant food at the launch for the new menu, sourdough pizzas were delicious! Staff out front working hard, very polite. Food presented lovely, my partner especially liking the little fried beetroot spirals on my halloumi. Really nice food, with pizzas 2 for £8 in the week it’s restaurant quality food for less than a maccies... it’s a no brainier!

User

Attended last nights pizza and cocktail event. It was a great evening. The pizzas were lush and the cocktails amazing. Evening topped off with a great atmosphere and super, friendly staff. Really looking forward to your next event.

User

A wonderful night at the launch of Medicine last night. We tried the sour dough pizzas which were really tasty, especially the Jerk chicken. Then for dessert we ordered the cronuts and they were amazing!!! The staff worked exceptionally hard all night and were really attentive. We are looking forward to returning again!

User

This place offers a tasty selection of dishes & has an impressive array of fresh bakes to marvel at. Our food was served in good time & it was really quite delicious. I must say however I found the prices a little high although it is a more upmarket coffee shop, so that is to be expected. We weren't necessarily greeted upon our arrival which prompted me to ask the barista do we order at the bar, as we weren't showed to a table. This may be obvious to some, but it all adds to the experience. The one thing that was a slight put off was that there were quite a few tables that hadn't been cleared from previous customers & not every table was stocked up with correct cutlery or condiments. It didn't look like a busy period, so this should have been kept an eye on I think as it does create a first impression.

I would be happy to recommend Village Coffee if you are looking for a good, modern food experience and you don't mind paying a premium however it's not the right place for you if you like cheap and cheerful.

I had the Buddha Bowl, which was superb!

User

Best french toast I have ever eaten. Tables and toilet could be cleaner though.

Green Goddess was amazing too.

Coming back for pizza soon

We used to "treat" ourselves to a nice breakfast at the village bakery, this is the second time I have been back as the medicine bakery and will be the last. Not only is there a change of name but also a change of staff and change of ingredients and neither for the better.

I used to look forward to a nice brioche made with "quality" sausages, today half of a cheap in quality not in price sausage brioche was left on the plate. Not good. £21 for two drinks, a (half eaten) cheap, salty sausage brioche and a full English.

Good point was we could get easily seated as it was practically empty, never seen it like that before. maybe we're not the only ones thinking it's no longer worth it.

User

Waaaaaaaaaaa!!!! You've changed your falafel dish with your new menu :'( It's now a 'Buddah Bowl' with raw broccoli and houmous trendily smeared on the inside if the bowl... I want to eat it, not scrape it up.... all for £9.50???!!!!

5* for previous dish.. 2* for this... :( :( :(

Gutted. Bring it back please....

User

We used to love this place.

Keep giving it a chance every few months.

Now it’s as dead as a dodo at 10:15, used to be heaving.

Ordered scrambled eggs with no butter.

Came out with a comment “chef has put extra butter in”

Sent back

Changed and now the toast is covered in butter, when I questioned it again they said it’s the “oils from the eggs”... really!!!

Pushing your fork into the toast it oozes “oil”

Instead of getting fresh plain toast you get argued with...

Never again. Tried, tried and tried again.

No wonder it’s empty, completely agree with the other reviews.

At these prices I don’t expect an argument.

Such a shame, such a shame.
