Meeples’ Corner is closed until Tuesday, 4th June because we are at the UK Games Expo with a large part of our stock.
We will come back on Monday, 3rd June, but will certainly need a day or two before everything is back to normal and we can open the shop again.

The next game in the Pandemic series has been announced and it is a real-time dice game from Kane Klenko, the designer of Fuse. The game will be a Target-exclusive in the US, but luckily for the rest of the world, it should be available at your usual board game source.

This month's special offers are ending on Friday morning (the last day of shipping before we head to the UK Games Expo). To make them a bit more interesting we added a few new offers and took 10% off all existing ones. As always all offers are valid while stocks last and in this case until Friday morning 10am.

Here is board game auction number 77! How does it work? Each photo is a separate auction. Name of the game and the condition of each game will be listed in the title of the photo. If you are interested in bidding on a game, place your bid as a comment for the game you are interested in. Whoever has placed the highest bid at the end of the auction, wins it. How can I pay? I will send you a payment link within 24h of the end of the auction. You can pay with a debit or credit c...ard. Please pay within 72 hours after receiving the payment request, otherwise, I will ask the second highest bidder if he/she is still interested. How much is the shipping? Shipping is £3.99 for a 3-4 days parcel or £4.99 for a 1-2 days parcel. I will send you a tracking link after the parcel has been shipped. If you win more than one auction, I can ship everything in one box. You can also add games from our website, but only games that are in stock because I would like to send out the auction games as fast as possible. The first round of the US vs. China trade war went past us board gamers. But this will change soon: whereas in the first round of the trade conflict between the US and China board games were not included, this looks no longer the case.
The US government published a new set of proposals after the last round of talks with China failed. And in this proposals board and card games are included and would be subject to up to 25% import duty from the end of June.
This could turn into... a potential problem for Kickstarters for which the funding phase have already ended but haven’t been delivered to customers yet. But it could also lead to a wide-ranging price increase across the industry.
At moment nobody can say how high the tariffs on games will be and if they will be imposed (there is still the possibility of a last-minute agreement between the US and China), but it is definitely something I will follow closely in the next few weeks.

Playing Tiny Towns against Paul. I think he is winning at the moment...

The UK Games Expo 2019 is less than three weeks away and fast arriving. Time to have a look at all the games available at the show.
Helping with this is Tom Heath’s (aka slickerdrips) Big UK Games Expo list on Boardgamegeek. The list is eleven pages long and lists all the games available to play (as demo / prototype copies) and/or for sale.
Another great tool is Tabletop Together which allows you to make your own list of interesting games.

Bunny Kindom: In the Sky expansion has been delayed a bit and is now expected to arrive by the end of the week.

In three weeks time, the UK Games Expo opens at the NEC in Birmingham. Time for us to offer you the option to collect your online orders at our stand 302 in Hall 2.
To choose the collection option is quite easy: During checkout choose collection at the UK Games Expo instead of the standard shipping options. You can also choose to pay for the order at our stand. We only have one small request: please let us know in the comments section of your order on what day you intend to collect the order.
