Our story starts with my grandma's 90th birthday.
We thought it would be a lovely idea to make macaroons as a gift to share with the birthday girl and guests at the party we were throwing. So off we went with the mixing and cooking of these little delights. It was somewhat more challenging than we anticipated, but we perservered and ended up with lots of chocolatey blue and green (slightly mishapen! ) macaroons. We took them along to the party and ended dinner by sharing them out with everyone while they had coffee. The little treats went down a storm (irrespective of the funny shape)! They were enjoyed by all the family, guests, and especially grandma.

We then ended up making more macaroons everytime we visited people so we had a little gift to take with us. We started trying new recipes and new filling combinations and accumulating bits of now essential equipment, and between us we were making a fair few macaroons every week.

This sparked the idea of setting up a new business where we could sell these delicious treats online and to local businesses.
This is how MegaMacaroons was born!
