We went for lunch today for Mother’s Day myself my 3 children, my mother and brother. Upon entering my 6 year old son became distressed and overwhelmed, he has sensory issues and autism. The manager immediately saw and coaxed us to sit on some chairs off to the side to wait to be seated, I explained about my son and that I was unsure whether he would eat anything and he immediately said no charge for him and despite the restaurant being very busy he showed some of our party to the table before I had even paid. The manager immediately helped me set up the WiFi on my sons iPad and even though my son did eat a bit he waved my offer to pay.

I found the staff extremely helpful and when my son smashed an ice cream bowl accidentally they were calm and reassuring, they made us feel very welcome. I am surprised at how well the whole experience was and will definitely be returning.

First visit here. We are visiting from London. Could do with a restaurant like this at home. Lovely food and lovely staff. Will return.

A party of 12 went last night for my mums birthday. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was second to none! Fantastic, attentive staff, brilliant service, would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Paying upfront was fine by us all as people were walking out after eating and not paying so justified. Order and paid for drinks which was brought to our table. Staff were lovely to us and couldn’t help anymore than they did. Food really good, hot plates, excellent choice of food, good value. Definitely go back again.

I was good, but so silly to charge a tall child for an adult meal, we had four kids with us , all under 14 that eat nothing !! They wanted us to pay for adult meals. Between the four of thd they probably only had the same as one adult.

User

Was ok. Service could have been better drinks orders taken would have been nice. Me and my two sons on a Sunday night cost about £60 with drinks , quite a lot considering some of the food (noodles and rice) was cold

Made to pay before sitting.. drinks extortionate and staff rude or plain lack of customer service.. food was lovely.. however disappointing that half desserts were not on display seems silly that you are offered different prices but offered less.. surely it would be better to offer a set price to all didn't like the feeling that you didn't get the same as higher paid customers.. another gripe is when u go to a buffet it offers the opportunity to try new things however it's you choose it you eat it and if you don't like something your frowned at for leaving a thing.. kind of ruined our visit. However decor and food lovely

Lovely food and very good choice, £15.99 represents good value for money considering the choice of food available, came on the recommendation of a friend.

Paying up front not a problem but should have table service for drinks, also would be helpful if advertised outside restaurant it is pay before you sit. Shame the staff are not very customer service orientated. With a few minor tweeks this place could be amazing.

User

Good value for money. Its a less formal place to dine so looses points for service however if you know what to expect as a buffet place, its perfectly acceptable. Happy to visit again.

Food was fine and even paying before you eat is now fine however being made to go to the bar mid meal to pay for a Diet Coke before you can have one is daft. I presume they don’t trust their customers?

Well a year on from our last visit...oh dear.. how sad.

Quality of food has dropped noticeably, crispy aromatic duck?.. certainly not crispy and more like mass produced minced duck ! Not nice at all.

The food on the whole not dreadful but not great either.

They have this daft pay first policy, this leaves you having to go to the bar and pay for a drink as you go, with the staff frowning when you pay for a drink by card.. I'm used to paying for food and drinks at end of meal.. it seems petty but it puts you off buying drinks and spoils the experience (must hit the company profits too)

Next.. the staff.. oh dear oh dear.. firstly in general they were not helpful at all, secondly I had to be taken by a member of waiting staff to a staff member that could speak English!

I later asked another member of staff a question and was blankly looked at as they had no idea what I was saying... I gave up .

Now I'm multicultural but for crying out aloud if your working in any industry where you are expected to talk to clients then at least learn the language!! I find this unacceptable and downright rude , on both the part of the employee and the employer.

Whilst I'm writing.. I don't know who fitted your boiler but it's condensate pipe discharges directly onto the public pavement. This is not to standard and needs addressing to meet regulations.

Was ok - bit of a cattle market though...no atmosphere...staff were not rude but rather aloof at times.

Took my team out for a meal for a second time here. Sadly the experience this time was quite negative. My team were told they couldn’t touch any food till I arrived despite me making the booking, confirming it on email and by phone and only being 10 minutes behind them. Apparently they wanted paying before they ate. I was pounced on as I walked in and asked to pay. I was made feel quite uncomfortable as were my team. Staff stand around like minders waiting to take your plate the minute you put your knife and fork down in case you might go up for more. The whole experience was disappointing and we felt a bit of a nuisance that we should want to eat at 9.30pm. Won’t be going again

So, at 02:00 this morning I witnessed 4 Asian males stood talking around a table near the bar in your restaurant SMOKING!

Smoking inside a bloody restaurant!

With lights on and curtains open. Who ever you have working for you this late clearly doesn’t give a crap about your business, food hygiene ratings or the LAW!

I then later saw 3 of them walking down south road at 02:10, so may I suggest you track theses down and have a word!

I really like your food and restaurant, but I shall now certainly be looking closer at the cleanliness!

Gone down hill since my last visit before Xmas. You now have to pay for your food before you start and you can't add a drink to it you have to go to the bar and be served at a separate till to get a drink. No card payments under £10 so cash only. This would not be an issue if you could pay at the same time as food. Staff were rude because we asked if we could move as we kept getting a draft from the door opening. Ladies toilets have broken soap dispensers and only cold water coming out of tap. Very dissapointed. Won't be going anytime soon if ever again if the current issues aren't resolved.
