Through Pilates, you first purposefully acquire complete control of your own body and then through proper repetition of its exercises you gradually and progressively learn that natural rhythm and coordination associated with all your subconscious activities. Pilates is not merely a collection of exercises, it is a method developed and refined over more than eighty years of use and observation. While Pilates draws from many diverse exercise styles, of yoga, martial arts, dance... certain inherent ruling principles bring all these elements together under the Pilates name. Originally called contrology, the founder Mr Joseph Pilates. His died aged 83, in 1967 in New York. He was rumoured to have died in a fire, but the cause of death was emphysema, from smoking cigars. Pilates101 with Louie this month focus is Upper Body Strenght
Mainly aiming at my students that just go through the movement without thought and not really thinking about technique. And moving to fast. This makes the exercise with no purpose and void.

BALANCE Two essential skill components we loose with age balance and coordination training can reduce the risk of falling. In particular, this is due to losing muscle mass, strength, and endurance that comes with age. In fact, every move you make requires your brain and muscles to communicate.
