The health and wellbeing of our patients and staff is absolutely paramount and in view of the announcement by the government on Monday evening, we have made the difficult decision to close the practice. We have contacted as many patients as possible but if you have an appointment within the next 3- 4 weeks and have not heard from us, you can assume that we will not be able to see you for any routine appointment.
We will be providing a service for patients with a dental emerge...ncy.
A dental emergency could be for example but not exclusively:
• Pain that won’t go away with painkillers
• Severe trauma to your teeth
• Increasing swelling in and around your mouth
• Ulcers that have been there for two weeks and aren’t going away
• Uncontrolled bleeding that won’t go away

Here at Meon Dental, your safety is paramount to us. You may not be aware but a dental practice has very strict cross infection control procedures in place, all day, everyday. It is what we do.
Should I still attend my appointment at Meon Dental?
Yes, you should attend your appointment as normal unless we contact you. However, if you have symptoms of a cold or flu, we simply ask that you rearrange your appointment by telephone or email for when you are better.
... What infection control measures do we have in place for patients?
To reassure our patients, as an additional precautionary measure we have implemented a voluntary additional layer of protocols on top of our already stringent hygiene procedures. These include:
• Alcohol hand gel available for use by our patients at the reception desk and other areas of the practice. We would encourage you to use this on entering and leaving the practice as a minimum. • We continue to conduct routine sterilization, as normal, in our state of the art decontamination room • We have implemented additional stringent cleaning of hard surfaces in practice communal areas with bacterial and virus inhibiting alcohol cleaners.
