With an outstanding academic journey from 2½ to 18, Meoncross, located on the south coast of Hampshire, is a co-educational independent school. Our class sizes are small enough to individualise our approach, being up to twenty across the school, but large enough to ensure a good social and academic mix. As a non-selective school, we cater for children with a range of ability and are able to stretch and support in equal measure thereby ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child
Our success is rooted in the academic staff knowing each pupil well. Year on year our pupils achieve GCSE grades well above the national average. In 2016 97% achieved 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English and these results compare favourably with the results of academically selective independent schools in the area.
Our SIS Inspection in 2014 remarked on the quality of teaching and assessment as outstanding, and that pupils of all abilities make very good progress as they move through the school.
Beach School is a unique and stimulating outdoor learning curriculum for all pupils. Our co-curricular programme inspires curious minds and enriches the educational journey and we encourage pupils to be keen participants in the local community.
The Sixth Form launched in September 2015; it is a caring, challenging adult environment, where students can develop intellectually, socially and personally.

Nursery were AMAZING in their sports day this week. With ice cream cones and beach school dress up races, everyone had such a fun time. Upper school GCSE pupils were also there to support the youngest of our children- the Meoncross family at its best! The children sang their summer songs to the parents before finishing with a family picnic. Perfect!

Did you happen to see hundreds of Meoncross children walking to the beach yesterday?! In their brightly coloured house t-shirts, students and staff took part in the annual whole school walk, and what a wonderful event it was! The sun was out, and so were the ice-creams when they all got to their destination. A fantastic afternoon was had by all!

This Monday was our last Toddlers & Tiddlers session before the summer break. Due to our fabulous redevelopment of our Early Years building that is taking place over the holidays, Toddlers & Tiddlers will be up and running again from Monday 7 October.
Meoncross welcomes parents, friends and family to join us on Monday 8 July from 2pm at our annual Summer Fair for an afternoon of fun, games and activities.
You can enjoy a delicious cream tea with hot and cold drinks and watch the children have a fabulous time with a bouncy castle, slide, obstacle course and some surprise members of staff in the stocks! There will be plenty of other games and activities too.
Donations for the soft toy and sweet tombola will be most grateful...ly received in the School Office this week.

Art of the Week!
Here is Becky's 15 minute sketch as part of her Still Life art assessment. Becky had worked on a tiny scale, but still managed to use mark making techniques beautifully to represent the different textures and shapes. Fantastic work Becky!

The Reception children enjoyed a lovely afternoon strawberry picking at Steve Harris Ltd Meon-Bye Farm. Arthur gave them some tips on the best ones to pick and told them about strawberry plants. They each filled a tub, although, some did not make it home! Thank you to all at Steve Harris Ltd Meon-Bye Farm for a wonderful afternoon.
