Wow....this is a beautiful place, lovely atmosphere...food is just lovely beyond words, real nice selection of drinks and well worth a visit again and again. Sometimes you have a nice time but there's something which could have been better ...NOT HERE, wouldn't change a thing. ☆☆☆☆☆

We visited the Merchants twice this week, once on Valetines night and again on Saturday. As always we find the staff are friendly and helpful. The Menu which was a special menu for valentines week had some fantastic imaginative dishes, and on both visits everything me and my husband has was delicious. Wine is always good quality and the cocktails never disappoint.

We had our wedding lunch at the Merchants on Monday and what wonderful service & food we received.

Charlie & Jason have always been available to answer any questions in the lead up to it, nothing appeared to be too much trouble.

Thanks to you both & to our 2 waiters for the day.

I would highly recommend this venue if you are hosting a do.

We ate at Merchants last night as a group of 6. We were in Warwivk for the weekend and also ate at Micatto on Friday which was also really nice. However we all preferred Merchants and agreed that we would love to have a place like Merchants close to us. Lovely atmosphere. Attentive service. Excellent food and wine. Gorgeous cocktail at the end of the evening. All in all Merchants is excellent and I would not hesitate to go again. Can not recommend it enough. Do yourself a favour and try it out.

The proportionate 5* on the table is about right for this amazing restaurant. Great staff, always helpful and friendly, gorgeous food and excellent service. Staff Always make every effort to deliver a quality service, even providing a bespoke menu for a recent birthday tea. I've been visiting this little gem for a few years now, long may I continue to do so. Well done all at Merchants Wine Bar, keep up the great work.

Me & my husband . Came over to Warwick for the day . We had been to South Africa 🇿🇦 for Xmas & new year . And went to Warwick wine 🍷 estate . And also had Picnic in the pod there . We said to our friends that we hadn't been over to Warwick by us for a while . So to finish our hols off this week . Back in the u k . Thought we would have a drive & have lunch here . And after having a little walk around . We came upon your bar & resturant . We both had a lovely lunch with wine & coffees . If weather had been bit warmer . Would of sampled a cocktail 🍹. And was looked after by a lovely lady . Who was serving us yesterday . And we will definitely be paying you another visit x

Just come back from having my sisters baby shower here and I can't thank the staff enough for all their help. Also the food was absolutely amazing, went beyond my Exxon what it would be. Will be coming back for a meal with my friends in the future. Thank you again

Had a great evening at Merchants! The staff were very friendly, professional and took good care of us. The cocktails were excellent and the food was very tasty. Already booked to return with friends. Recommended.

Great to find this quirky, independent bar/bistro while ambling round charming Warwick. Tempting selection of beers & cocktails. Only pooped in for a drink but stayed for a Fisherman's Catch sharing board & enjoyed every mouthful & a cheeky couple of glasses of a drinkable red. Enjoyed the gently upbeat atmosphere & service here too.

Great evening for a work Christmas get together. Nice relaxed atmosphere, great food, attentive staff and the opportunity to make as many or as few cocktails as we wanted.

Great choice of food. I had lamb shank - cooked to perfection as it fell off the bone. The staff were attentive, incredibly friendly and patient with us as we reorganised the tables and chairs! Would definitely recommend it.

Wasn't as good as it used to be, always used to be packed over lunch and I was the only customer... The food was ok, but the price has gone up quite a lot from previously and you don't get as much as you used too either for the money

Merchants has always been one of my favourite places to eat in Warwick and, credit where it is due, the food is usually spectacular..... however, last night My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday, my food was served luke warm (baked camembert isn't very nice cold) the "rustic breads" were in fact sliced wholemeal gone crispy from being kept under a hotlight, presumably whilst my partners hot fish was cooked. There was so little balsamic vinegar in the deep pot of olive oil I was given that I actually ended up with pieces of dried bread saturated with oil from trying to get to the bottom.... and no balsamic actually reached my mouth. To make matters worse my partners mushy peas were also cold and his chargrilled lemon wedge was fresh from the fridge.....no-one bothered to check back and make sure everything was ok which may be forgiveable on a busy night but we were one of only 4 tables in there and stuck with below par food. After eating we waited about 20 minutes for a member of staff to clear the plates, hoping desert would be a better experience. No-one came. The table opposite had their dirty plates sat in front of them for longer still. They must have been very patient people. We eventually gave up, left our dirty table, paid and left. The staff member I spoke to was apologetic and didn't charge for the camembert, though he defended the lack of checkback as though it were common practice. Having been in the restaurant business since I was 12 I should like to inform him that not checking back on your customers is practically a cardinal sin in your trade. Today I am sick and have a bad stomach, I doubt I will visit again.
