The company designed and developed the first Airchair in 2007 and these on-board wheelchairs are now used by airlines, large and small, long and short haul, across the world. Some aircraft aisles are as narrow as 14" (356mm), too narrow for conventional wheelchairs, and therefore the Airchair enables the safe and easy transfer of passengers from their conventional wheelchair to the aircraft seat. It also enables the passenger to be moved around the aircraft during a flight if this is required.
