... 🌾Our toddlers and babies have been brave enough to go on their own bear hunts today!
The toddler children explored the swirling, whirling snowstorm ❄️❄️ before finally getting to the narrow, gloomy cave and finding a bear!! 🐻🐻 They quickly ran back home and hid under their blankets.

📖✏️To support staff's individual professional development, Personal Development Logs (PDL's) are completed to evaluate and reflect on our own learning and the impact this has on our practice within nursery. The management team have spent time reviewing and discussing the teams PDL's before selecting one that demonstrates the impact that learning has provided on both the staff member and the children.✏️📖 🏆🏅👏We are thrilled to announce that Jess our Preschool Practitioner has been selected at The Mere as she has thoroughly reflected on the development she has made, and has a brilliant understanding of how to use what she has learnt to impact on childrens care, learning and development at nursery.🏆🏅👏

Denise is such an engaging and inspiring member of the team, whos commitment to the children's feelings and emotions is truly outstanding. Denise is a team player and will get stuck in anywhere and everywhere she is needed with 100% enthusiasm and passion for her role. Denise enjoys playing the guitar and we often hear Denise playing to the children during meal times which is such a wonderful exper...ience for all.
Denise also led the mindfulness session for the staff last week which I know the staff will all agree was inspirational and motivating in every way!

Let's build! Preschool have been enjoying working together in the sunshine to build the tallest tower! 🌞
They helped each other to lift the blocks higher and higher and made sure that each block was firmly in place.💪
... 🗣🗣There was lots of discussion about safety and not climbing on the tower because it was too wobbly!

🕷🕸Let's go on a spider hunt!🕸🕷
During 🌳Forest School🌳 this week, our Toddler children 🔍investigated🔎 the woodlands as they hunted for spiders!
With Jane's help, the children used tools to 👷‍♀️construct👷‍♂️ their own spider frame which would give the spiders 🕷 the perfect place to create their webs and catch some delicious lunch.
... The toddlers are excited to investigate our own bug house and see what other minibeasts 🦗🐌🐞🐜 they can find living there!
