Unfortunately, due to the poor weather, we've had to postpone this afternoon's pop-up road show in #Wirral. The site is very waterlogged, not ideal for the amazing activities we had planned, and there's more bad weather forecast for later today 🌧️⛈️

User

What do you know about your fire service? #WednesdayWisdom
We dealt with 15,976 incidents last year, with 2/3 of them occurring during the daytime.

Would like to thank you for the wonderful gesture to ask for donations to go to #help4matt following the amazing work you did at the arena

User

Would like to express my thanks to Gary Oakford and colleague who took time out to talk to my father, an 81 year old ex fireman, today in Huyton.

They may not have realised that he is an Alzheimer's sufferer but their uniforms sparked something in his memory and unusually for him he approached a 'stranger' and began a conversation.

Both officers made time for him and he really enjoyed his trip down memory lane with them.

I will definitely be taking your advice of visiting the heritage centre with him.

Again many thanks to you both you are a credit to the service.

User

What a start to the new year for Merseyside fire and rescue.

Well done everyone involved with the Echo Arena car park fire and a big thank you to all our emergency services for keeping us safe throughout the year.

User

Very thankful for the amazing fire fighters in Liverpool today after we called 999 when a neighbours smoke alarm sounded with no one home. Confident, proficient and efficient!

User

Thank you to Birkenhead Blue Watch for a fantastic morning with our Wirral NCT Weekend Explorers group. The little ones loved exploring the fire engine and especially having a go of the hose! You guys were great with the kids and really welcoming; what a lovely bunch. I'm sure we'll be back! Thanks again x

User

So I called my local fire station (bellevale) and explained that my son Jay'don is obsessed with fire engines and the told me to bring him along at 2pm and they would arrange a little surprise for him.. We didn't know what to expect ☺️ as we got there they had all the equipment out and was letting him try on all the fire fighting gear and even took us on a lap round the block in the fire truck ☺️☺️ we had a ball and jay'don got to share his sweets and chocolate with the fire fighters... I am honestly and sincerely grateful that they made a big effort for my child and made his dreams come true!!! Big shout out to all the fire men and women nation wide!!! And thank you for your service

User

Outstanding and unbelievable efforts to contain the Liverpool echo arena car park fire. You’re all heroes. Thank you.

User

Massive thanks to the guys at West Kirby fire station today, who invited my two children into the station when they saw them admiring the fire engines through the window! They let them go in the fire engine and wear a fire helmet, turn on the blue lights and open the big shutters! The kids were absolutely made up!! x

User

I would like to pass on my thanks to the crew that came to my house in Novembwr when I encountered a firw issue with my washing machine.Very fast service, really nice and helpful people.I think they were from Norris Green fire service. THANK YOU

User

I just wanted to say thank you. Yesterday evening a fire engine stopped in our street and my five year old daughter begged me to take her out to see it even though she had her pyjamas and no shoes on. I carried her across the road and one of your lovely firemen took the time to sit her in the back of the cab and show her some of the things that you guys use. It only took a few minutes but she hasn't stopped talking about it and telling everyone she sees that she sat in a fire engine. What you did meant so much to her. Thank you. x

User

I have the upmost respect for all our emergency services. Being from the green team I fully appreciate and respect the red team and what you do to protect us. Today my street had an engine down it and some lovely staff came and sorted out the fire alarms in my mums house, fitted and checked for free. Thanks very much for keeping us all safe.

User

Every time I have had to call 999 on the Wirral the response time has always been amazing. Within minutes. So grateful tonight for the quick response in Birkenhead. You all do a fantastic job - so grateful!!

User

Can't thank you enough for putting out a fire in my sisters car this morning as we set off for the Zoo. You were there so quickly and everything under control in minutes. Thank you so much. Amazing and we appreciate everything xx

User

Brilliant day at the 50th anniversary celebrations for the training station in Croxteth. My Sons had a wonderful time watching the various displays and even had the opportunity of putting out a real fire! Two excited and happy boys, thanks to the crews and support staff for all their hard work.

User

A massive thank you to all the hard working ladies and gentlemen that form our fire and rescue service! After a small house fire the support received from yourselves has been second to none! After hearing the educational side to your services learning the limited resources you have but still manage day in day out working around the clock tirelessly keeping us all safe. A massive 5 stars is well deserved

User

A huge thank you to Merseyside Fire and Rescue for safely retrieving my Dobermann out of my boot. I had accidently put him in the boot, shut it without realising my car keys were beside him! As dogs can overheat quickly if left in a car, it was important he was removed soon as. I had called the aa and a locksmith firstly however they said it would take 40mins to reach me which would have been too long for my dog to be in the car.

Thanks again X
