Metrodome Leisure Complex

Shambolic management. Checked website last night and swimming is open. Drive there with three children this morning and it's shut due to an incident yesterday. Website still says open but apparently it was on Facebook. Seems like they don't have the capability to update a website but can post a message on Facebook. Loads of people being turned away at the car park. Well done BPL. Users might want to check all social media just in case the right person isn't working when the pool is closed. I hope nobody was injured in the incident. I'm giving this review 3 stars as normally the pool and facilities are good, particularly for kids, if you do get to swim.

Great place to go but don't believe prices should increase during school holidays when I'm only taking a baby not a child of school age and go regular during school time.

Very expensive,1adult and a 3 year old £13.30 for what ? We don't go on big slides just the kiddie pool. Should be cheaper for under 5s, also very few showers and after waiting with a cold 3 year old for 10 minutes the showers were cold, finally got dry and dressed and had to wait another 10 minutes for the only hair dryer, very poor. We usually go to Hillsborough leisure centre and will be back there next week £4.55 for the 2 of us because under 5s are free. Plenty of showers and they're warm and 5 or 6 hair dryers.

I have been going to Barnsley Metrodome since I was a child and now I take my children there.

We live over in Wakefield now and I still make the trip over to have an afternoon of fun with our children. We meet up with other family and the go for a swim and a game of bowling with quick meal which is great value and the kids love it.

Can't really knock the Metrodome good fun and fair on price.

Good fun. Has slides, a wave pool, a diving board as well as lanes and a baby pool. Downside is it gets very busy on a weekend and the 3 hour swim is a bit pricey. Also, there aren't many changing rooms so make sure you get out a few mins before they call your band out of the pool!

Great pool, 5 or 6 slides, 3 diving boards wave machine lane swimming plus a gym, bowling alley restaurants and a cafe, nice day out

It's great, good value and considering how busy it gets it's very well kept. My daughter loved it. So many life guards and they're all friendly. I marked it 4 not 5 as the food options aren't great and the changing rooms are a bit cramped. Wouldn't stop me going back though

Love it here. It is starting to look a bit gruby. Maybe close for a few days and give it a good clean . It would be a shame if it got like doncaster dome .
