Some fabulous views here and lots of childhood memories, particularly spending our pocket money on Jetty Street 😊

Many thanks to the Teacup Tearoom in Mevagissey for donating this dishwasher to the Merlin MS Centre, I am sure it is much appreciated by this much needed and vital Centre.

Hawkins Motors car keys have been found in Trevarth if anyone is looking for them!

We are sorry if any gents have had problems accessing the toilets on the harbour. Evidently people have wedged the door with stones and this has messed up the mechanism. We would respectfully remind people using the toilets that they are paid for by the residents and businesses of Mevagissey and your 20p per visit is a vital contribution to the considerable cost we bear to keep them open. Many thanks.

What a pretty, friendly, dog friendly village. Despite having the biggest Jack Russell in the world (thinks she's a Rottweiler) who growled at the other hundreds of dogs, everyone was lovely. Even the gents whose bare legs she licked!

I'll be back after she's been better trained!

What a lovely little fishing village we have visited here a few times and always have our cream tea and kids have an ice cream we managed to catch a few crabs on our last visit

We had a wonderful stay in Mevagissey. Kind people, lovely harbour and it's perfect to start roadtrips through Cornwall. Tintagel, Lizard Point, Minack Theatre, St. Michaels Mount - only 1 1/2 - 2 hrs by car!

We are starting to make it our go to holiday destination. Up the hill at Nare Court, you can see as far as Plymouth or Salcombe on a clear day. It's just a short walk down the (steep) hill into town. The harbour pubs are very popular. We particularly enjoyed a full Cornish breakfast at the Harbour Tavern and Tea On The Quay does the best lunch/cream tea/afternoon tea. We weren't as impressed with the Fountain Inn. Monday evenings you can sit in on the Mevagissey Male Choir rehearsals. I always stock up on handbags or purses at the leather shop on the corner. It's just around the corner from the Lost Gardens of Heligan and St Austell is a short drive away. There's no beach but you can visit the small aquarium, model trains, fish for crabs from the lighthouse wall, take the ferry to Fowey or just chill watching the boats come and go.

Too beautiful just had the best week staying at the courtyard cottage with my family everyone was so happy and the pubs are really friendly and I recommend the ferry to fowey highly we saw risso dolphins and the guys took their time to stop and let us film and take pictures just wonderful can’t wait to come back and visit again what a wonderful place

This is a must visit resort for us each time we come to Cornwall. If the weather is kind nothing is nicer than to sit on a bench overlooking the inner harbour and watching the world go by. Little has changed since we first visited and that is comforting to know.

The place is just magical, well worth a visit.

If you are going take some cash with you as there is no cash machines.great fish and chips , there's a free museum there and some shops also an aquarium to visit

Stunningly beautiful fishing village. Lovely coastal walks. Had lunch in a family run Portuguese restaurant called Alvorada, the fish dishes were delicious. Stayed at this spectacular penthouse on the cliff with a panoramic view. Highly recommend it.

One of the most beautiful harbours on earth. this time we didn't take the boat to Fowey but wished we had. the model railway is excellent, despite its disaaster earlier in the year. I could sit and watch the boats come and go forever.

User

Mevaggisy a quant harbour and village. Loads small Cornish shops, pubs and eating places. There's even a free entry museum. Lovely to stroll around and daydream. Very narrow streets, plenty places to park. Three pounds gets you 4 hours, which is generally sufficiently. There's also boat ride round harbour, cost £5 for half hour.

Lovely very welcoming place a must visit in this area

User

Idyllic Cornish harbour'equally as nice as Padstow or Polperro but not so busy.

Nice boat trips around the bay and to Fowey.

Lots of nice eateries although some very expensive.

Remember to take cash as could not find a cash machine anywhere.

Thoroughly recommend a visit.

I never tire of this place I only live 10 miles away from mevergisy but yesterday we had a mackerel bap from the fish and chip van in the harbour absolutely delicious also there is a charity car park 500 yards from the harbour £3 all day

User

Fantastic little fishing village not over commercialised like Padstow some nice places to eat plenty of history to see we have been coming here for a number of years its moved with the times but keeps its charm so well done to the people who live there permanently.

User

Excellent little fishing village, 20yrs since we last visited, still as nice as it was then, wouldn't recommend driving through the village, leave that to the charming locals, use the car parks and try walking, you might even enjoy it, and walk up the steep streets to get excellent views of the harbour, well worth the effort

User

Beautiful harbour. We saw a very large seal swimming close to the pier last year and great for spotting jelly fish 🌊. Good price for parking and easily accessible for pushchairs etc. The sun generally shines on Mevagissy xxx

User

An amazing little village with lovely shops to roam about.

Nice relaxed feel and went out on the Aquila fishing boat with Chris the skipper for some Mackerel fishing, a lovely friendly guy with his helper.

User

It's a quaint fishing village it's always busy with visitors plenty of places to eat and drink and various types of shops we are the lucky ones that live near by and visit fairly often the fish&chips are my favourite
