Burton Gateways project update

We are pleased to announce that engineers are now finishing off the work on the decking of St Peter’s Bridge and it will reopen ahead of schedule to traffic by tomorrow (Saturday).
We have said from the outset that we would do everything we could to ensure the bridge is back in business as soon as possible and we have managed to bring forward the opening from the end of November.
The reopening date has been very much subject to change due to the nature of the works, though engineers are confident they can now reopen the bridge by tomorrow and will work as long as its takes to do so. We are unable to give a precise time for this currently, apart from that it will be open tomorrow.
This £6.1 million investment work was absolutely crucial to safeguard the future use of the bridge, however we also recognise the disruption the closure of this major gateway has inevitably brought to the town and would again like to thank the people of Burton for their patience.
After winning approval from the Government to delay the work on the second bridge until next summer, we are hoping the reopening ahead of schedule will allow businesses to focus on boosting trade in the run up to Christmas – and we are planning to do everything we can to help support this through a “Be Vocal Be Local” in Burton drive.

We drive about 1/2 hour to get here even though there are around a dozen Indian Restaurants that are closer so you can guess that we like the place. Pickle trays are especially excellent (3 types of Lime Pickle). The main reason for going though is that it was born from the Bengal Spice in Long Eaton which was my previous favorite as I loved their Vindaloo. I've tried the other dozen locals but none are to my liking as much as Mezbaan.

This place is great....beautiful clean modern decor . Very friendly staff and lovely food. You can take own drink which is advantageous if you are on a budget.....thoroughly recommend it ......

The food is absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The menu is reasonably priced and there is probably something on it for everyone. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall a great place!

Friendly staff and a comfortable setting make this the one to visit. And you'll be back.

My favourite Indian restaurant that always delivers personal service and great quality food. The staff are always happy to make what you want and really understand the concept of flavour.

Fantastic food as always it was the first time we had eaten in as usually have delivery but service was superb friendly staff could not find fault with anything and a bargain for five courses at 9.95 will definitely be going again

Excellent service, excellent food, the staff are great and the prices are extremely reasonable! Its nice to see an owner who is really enthusiastic and passionate about his business. He clearly only serves the absolute best for his customers. I will definitely be recommending here and visiting again :)
