Hello! I'm Mercedes. . .
Before becoming a specialist massage therapist I was going to have a career in dance. Until I dislocated my hip and ended up having to give that up. But every cloud has a sliver lining, and that silver lining resulted in me pursuing a massage career. Qualifying in BTEC level 4 sport & remedial massage therapy in 2007 started a passion to help others who had suffered injury or had chronic muscular pain, I enjoyed the diversity of the profession, working at various events, with people from all walks of life from athletes to office workers.
During my pregnancy I suffered severe symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) which got me into the specialist field of Pregnancy & labour massage. Helping women and their partners throughout their pregnancy journey and up to giving birth to relax mother and baby and relieve pain, and discomfort.
As I know first hand exactly what these treatments can do, massage and supporting people with massage is my passion. Mercedes Grant Wellness encompasses all of my qualifications to give you the most relaxing, luxurious and rewarding treatments. Being a mother and also suffering some issues I come across my self, means you will have a therapist who is experienced and has an intuitive and deep understanding of the body and who also provides a holistic service
