Its Mental Health Awareness Week 13th - 19th May 2019. A great opportunity to chat with a friend, neighbour or loved one....and to take 5 and evaluate your own mental wellbeing too.... We have some very useful information that we are happy to share.
UPDATE: We are so very pleased to announce that we are now post 48 hours of any symptom(s) of Noravirus therefore our doors are now reopened. We look forward to seeing you all.....we have missed you.
UPDATE: Out of the 9 residents who presented with symptoms of Noravirus only 2 remain symptomatic. Therefore should those two residents remain symptom free over the weekend and no other cases are identified in the interim we will be able to reopen our doors on Monday.
It is extremely creditable to all staff that we have been able to contain this virus to such a small number of residents and to you our visitors and friends for respecting the rationale behind our decision to close our doors...thank you.
So very sorry .....but we have had to close our doors for the foreseeable future due to a suspected outbreak of Noravirus. We will duly advise you when we are able to welcome visitors once more, however, please do not hesitate in telephoning us to inquire after your loved ones. Please be assured that we are doing all that is reasonably practical to do so to minimise and contain this outbreak. In anticipation of your support in this matter.. we thank you.
Two little visitors this afternoon Ben and Hannah, who took great pleasure in holding and cuddling our chicks.
Our beautiful Horse Chestnut Tree this morning....but did you know that the Horse chestnut is a deciduous broadleaf tree native to the Balkan peninsula. ... Interesting fact: the leaf stalks leave a scar on the twig when they fall, which resembles an inverted horse shoe with nail holes. ...
