We kicked off the hols with a lovely visit from Our Amazing Animal World as a bit of an end of the school year treat. I highly recommend getting in touch with Mark and Jerry if you're looking for something different for the kids this summer. The girls met an 'amazing' variety of animals and reptiles - all in the comfort of our sitting room.

I'm really pleased to have just received a Bronze Award in The Guild of Photographers Image of the Month competition for this photograph of my eldest daughter.
She's not smiling at the camera. She's not laughing in the midst of a game. She's not messing about happily with her sister.
Instead, there's sadness and a sense of vulnerability which is just as much a part of her childhood as her carefree and joyful moments. It's a fuller story I want to capture...

I love christening photography and I was very privileged to have been invited to document this special occasion last Sunday.
Photography during the baptism itself was not allowed but with the afternoon tea reception held at the stunning Nonsuch Mansion in Cheam there were plenty of lovely photo opportunities.

Hope everyone's had a lovely half term! We went camping and also snuck in a visit to the Dog's Trust to visit my daughter's sponsor dog - Seamus. Unfortunately he's not able to be re-homed but he's certainly being very well looked after by the Dog's Trust team in Evesham - thanks for showing us around and allowing us to say hello!

We secretly had a photo shoot with Michaela for grandparents Christmas presents. We wanted to use our local park, Michaela found some great spots and took some amazing photos of us showing off my pregnancy bump. We loved how she involved our 7 year old son, he was encouraged to bring his camera and take some photos too! We struggled to keep the photos secret until Christmas! Thanks Michaela, looking forward to the next photo shoot when baby arrives!

We are delighted with the photos we have received from Michaela, our son totally warmed to her and enjoyed the photo shoot. We had tried another photographer previously, but feel that the approach that Michaela took and the style of photography suits our little family much more.

My husband arranged for Michaela to take some photos of us and our five month old daughter at our home. We got some truly stunning photos and a wonderful mix of totally natural, organic moments with some more posed pictures, particularly when the baby fell asleep. I hate having my photo taken but Michaela made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and I think that comes across in the pictures. I would definitely recommend Michaela and look forward to working with her again.

Michaela photographed our family and has a particular flair for working with children. She gave direction to our kids (5 & 2 years) in a fun way, while still giving them freedom to be themselves so that she could capture them naturally.



Her subjects were two adventurous (hyper!) boys, who often wanted to run in opposite directions, but she still managed to consider beautiful spots with the right balance of natural light.



It felt so easy - we went for a play in the park and the end result was many, many beautiful photos to cherish.



I love Michaela's style - it's real art in photography.

Michaela photographed my little ones (2 year old and newborn) and captured them both perfectly, she was amazing at getting my toddler to relax and enjoy having his photo taken rather than him being self-conscious about it, and we're so happy with all of the great photos!

Michaela is truly wonderful. We can not thank Michaela enough for the amazing photos she took on our son's baptism. Michaela was so professional and on the day of the baptism she even felt like one of the guests. Many of our guests even commented at how lovely she was. Michaela is an amazing and extremely talented photographer, I met her at a cousins baptism and saw how proffesional and friendly she was, I was so glad and grateful when she was available to do a double baptism shoot for my boys, her photos are amazing and really captured the day along with the little moments you don't get to see! I would highly recommend Michaela Strivens Photography following a recent family photo session in Beddington Park to create photographs for my mum's 70th birthday. The session was so relaxed and enjoyable and Michaela really took the time to capture images of us all.
