About Middlesbrough Golf Club

One of the premier golf clubs in the north east. Exceptional golf and a warm welcome awaits all. Founded in 1908, Middlesbrough Golf Club was based at Saltersgill Farm until 1938 when we moved to our present location. Designed by James Braid (five times Open Champion), the renowned golf course architect fully exploited the natural ravines and undulating land. The course was officially opened in April 1939 and in 1990 new holes were laid through acquired woodland, giving us the layout we enjoy today. Our course is situated in countryside five miles south of Middlesbrough with stunning views of the Cleveland Hills. We look forward to welcoming you to Middlesbrough Golf Club.
