We arrived around lunch time. We were seated straight away. The waitresses are lovely and helpful. Our food was really nice and came quickly. Have come a few times now and it has always been really good. ��

Walked in off the street on Saturday, 16 June, around 1.00pm feeling very hungry and walked out nearly 2 hours letter feeling nicely full. Excellent service and food again, with as requested my steak cooked a perfect "blue" �. Loyalty card, or offers please Mr Middleton?!

Our first visit yesterday lunchtime & we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely food, we will definitely return. The only minus was the amount of time we sat waiting to pay!

Lovely meal again and the waiter last night was exceptionally polite and helpful. Always a good experience

Absolutely fantastic night, our server was the best chap ever, we celebrated a special occasion and he gave us prosecco on them, he also recommend pina colada cockatils and my god they were fantastic!!! Thank you young man we did not catch your name but you are a asset to the restaurant 5 ** service the food is to die for. When visiting Peterborough again it's definitely gonna be our first stop.

great place to eat! The food is lovely and service was quick to. Only problem was the manager / person who seated was dressed in some sort of leggings and scruffy top and was rude, did not suit the place at all. Such a shame as all the other staff were dressed very smart in all black and were very polite and helpful.

We called in for lunch and we all opted for the set menu. The selection is good and the portion size is sufficient to fill you up but not so much that you don’t enjoy the other courses. The service is excellent and the loos are very clean it is a nice atmosphere to eat in and convenient for Peterborough City Centre.

Well my wife and I visited Middletons this evening. The main meal was really nice we had the Middletons grill. For dessert I found a video of the chef introducing some new desserts to the menu 1 being a chocolate fondant with ice cream, it looked amazing, he said it was cooked to order. He then cut into it and as you can imagine all the chocolatey gooey goodness started to ooozzzz out � so I ordered one. When it turned up I was looking forward to seeing the chocolatey gooey goodness start to ooozzzz out. Did I get that......NOPE! I cut into it and got nothing it was basically a chocolate cake with ice cream.

Normally never have an issue when coming here. I understand it’s a Saturday and it can be busy however, we waited an hour for starters to come despite our order being taken straight away. Not only that, we was not told that the reason behind this was due to the ticket ‘going missing’ and was only told 2 minutes before our staters came. The main was also not correct.



I feel more vigilance needs to be taken and managed a lot better. I did not enjoy the meal nor fancy it by the time it arrived.

Went there yesterday had the garlic mushroom starter with sour dough bread you could barely taste the garlic it was more like mushrooms with cream and the bread was stale so stale you had trouble breaking it I commented to the waitress about this and she said because of the snow they hadn’t got any fresh bread well guess what don’t put it on the plate then I then had the 8oz rib eye which was lovely I had the blue cheese sauce with that which was actually just a cream sauce with hardly any blue cheese flavour the mushroom was so cremated that when you cut into it the ends shattered like burnt toast so other than the steak it isn’t worth the price and they are scared to use flavour so my advice is if it’s garlic then let’s tatse the garlic and the same goes for the blue cheese sauce instead of just putting everything in cream add the ingredients that should be in it

We were seated in a downstairs part of the restaurant, prior warning, if you have an illness like I do that makes you react to artificial lighting make sure you ask to be seated upstairs. The staff were fab and found us a table with natural sunlight.

It was all going well until we had to wait nearly 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. It took three attempts and three different waiting staff to get my drink correct. I asked for an aperol spritz (which is on the menu, I didn’t make it up) I kept being given a white whine spritzer. Our waiting staff did not seem to know the menu in the slightest. My partners starter was wrong and by the time he got it, the rest of our table had long finished. Mains were nice and come out quite quickly. My partner had the full lobster and said it was extremely chewy and didn’t have much flavour. We all opted out of desserts. The ambience wasn’t very relaxing, it felt chaotic. I wouldn’t be returning in a hurry, or at all to be honest!

Food was great but service was sooooo slooooow

Waited half hour for starter Then another 50 minutes for main course which was a minute steak (sic) Now been waiting 30 mins for a Berry and cream mera and a ice cream to be served

We were seated straight away . The food wasn’t great at all, came out just warm. The food sat on the side ages before waitress delivered it to us. I had chicken burger if that’s what you want to call it. The burger bun itself was flat as a pancake and I had to eat it with my knife and fork as it fell apart. The portions are ridiculously small for extortionate price they charge. My daughters burger was solid with no sauce and again crap bun that also fell apart. They even managed to burn her chocolate brownie. Absolute a rip off.

We visit this place yesterday my wife had a burger that came out burnt and everything was dry I'm myself had the mixed grill the chicken was still bleeding when mention to staff all she said was we will tell the chef not impressed with service won't be visiting again

Service was awful, had to find a waiter to make our order after being seated over 20 minutes. Returned both steaks twice after being under cooked but the restaurant is a ‘ steak house ‘ and a hair was found in the food. Manager was apologetic to start with but was not seen again after saying he would sort the bill out etc and left it to another member of staff to pick up. No apology when the bill was given either after another 20 minutes of waiting for it. Will not be returning

Rubbish!!! Sat outside in the sun, had to go and ask for a menu, still no service so we went inside! Ordered fillet steak medium, when came it was well well done burnt, couldn’t even get my knife into it or eat it! I said to the lady when paid about it, all she said was I’ll tell the chef! Not even a sorry. Nice waste of £20

Not a great experience! First of all starters came out wrong so had to wait for that to be corrected. Chipolatas weren’t very appetising didn’t have any taste. Then when mains came out chicken was raw and had to be sent back! Bean burger was soggy in the middle and not very appetising! I did enjoy my sweet potato fries though!

My husband and I went to middletons for lunch today. Upon arrival we were greated and seated quickly . Orders were taken and staff were polite. Our drinks came quickly , fresh water was also added to the table . Our starters came in good time and they were Lovely, can not faulty the food or service so far.



We finished our starters, and waited for our mains. Whilst waiting the restaurant was getting busier ,the other customers were being seated and given starters and drinks. We are still waiting for our mains. There were enough staff on to deal with the steady flow of customers so no excuse there. Customers who came in after us , had already been served their starters and their mains. And yes you guessed it were still waiting. We were sat near the till. The staff walked passed us numerous times and said nothing.



We waited almost 45 minutes for our main meal. It never came. In the end My husband asked the staff if we had been forgotten, she then spoke to the chef and he laughed. We ended up getting up and leaving hungry ,with only eating a starter and not having time now to get anything else to eat.



I had desperately wanted to visit here , it had been highly recommend by friends. We very rarely get out together ,so this was our little treat. And it all started so well . But we ended up coming out disappointed and hungry !! . The only reason I gave a one star was the staff were polite and friendly and the bit of food we had was nice. For my over all experience it would be 0.

Middletons - the worst dining experience ever. Got 50% off.



Choose Middletons as the 2 lads were celebrating their 30th love steaks.



So much wrong with the staff and cooks. Rude, un interested, no idea of how to handle a client or cook.



Waited ages to be offered drinks. Beers failed to arrive on 2 occasions.



Batter on fish was flat and looked like it had come out of a microwave.



Female server lent over diners without saying a word pushing them by the neck or shoulder to move while passing over the table hot plates and sharp knives.



About a third of the muscles I ordered were either under cooked or gone off as they didn't open.



Not offered any method of clean fingers or putting the empty muscle shells.



One steak ordered medium-well but got very rare. It went back to the kitchen and came back with blood still in the middle. The fillet was at least 5cm thick. On the 3rd try from the kitchen (after they had taken our advice to halve the thickness) we were told very pointedly that this was the last and final time.



Vegetables ordered as a side arrived after dinners had been eaten and the serving waiter didn't care.



A sweet listed on the menu as GF was served with biscuits made of wheat! The female waiter continued to try to justify the error and did not appreciate the harm it would do a person suffering Crohn's or Celiac.



When asked about our experience we made a detailed complaint to male server who advised he would talk to management and she would come and speak to us. No one came and no communication was had with the manager so we had to go through the whole issue again when the bill came.



One good thing they did was agreed to our offer of 50% off the bill.



They dont understand what service means. They demonstrated a dismissive attitude and made us feel we were expecting too much! They need to learn diners most often don't go out just to eat they go out for a great experience. Middletons need to go back to basics. Close and re open with a new team of caring, interested, trained and educated staff.



There are so many other options I urge anyone to try them rather than Middletons.
