Tee off Jurassic July this weekend at Mighty Claws and welcome in Summer at The Kitchen Club.

User

Went here last Saturday with my husband and 11 year old granddaughter. The staff were really helpful and friendly, I am in a motorised wheelchair, which the course was easy to get around in , the only problem I had was going along the gravel path from the restaurant as I reached the end to turn left I got stuck on the gravel so was wheel spinning so needed a bit of help, we had a fantastic time and my granddaughter really had fun , it would be nice to have a little gift shop as my granddaughter would of liked to have bought home a trinket maybe a baseball cap or miniature dinosaur cuddly or ornament just a reminder of the day but all in all I highly recommend this adventure golf course a great day out very reasonably priced and we shall definitely be visiting again very soon

User

Visited with my 11 year old daughter. Course was fun and not too challenging which was great as my daughter was able to get a hole in one! Also able to par some holes which kept her interest up. Lovely, clean course and the animatronics are fab. I thought it was good value for money - £9.50 adults, £6.50 children and we were not rushed round at all. Fair prices in the restaurant too. Would highly recommend.

User

Visited today and it was great, the boys loved the dinosaurs around the holes and the holes were achievable that after the first couple of holes they were doing it on their own and get hole in ones that they loved. No time pressure, enjoyed by all!

User

Not sure why there are negative comments on here. I think it's brilliant. A few easier holes and some a lot tricker, a good balance. Nice features along the way, loved the hole with the stream running through that you had to get the ball over, thankfully there's a net handy to catch any that don't make it..... The music and animatronics really add to the whole experience. Pricing is pretty fair I think compared to other adventure golf courses I've visited. Would just say that I wish you were open a bit longer on light summer evenings.....maybe 8pm? Will visit again for sure.

User

My son had his 7th birthday party here today ! We had the most fantastic day! 15 kids for golf and food and nothing was too much trouble ! The staff were so friendly and so on the ball and helpful with everything! The food was fantastic for the kids and the golf itself I thought was just the right size and took the perfect amount of time ! The football was on so the clubhouse was busy yet I didn’t feel like the children got in anyone’s way! Thank you ! We will 100% be back in the summer

User

was enjoyable, not as big as videos makes it out to be. one of the holes its impossible to miss needs sorting, think its hole 11 or 12, I will be back.

User

We visited last weekend. The course is fantastic and the kids loved it and so did the adults. However whilst it looks cool it is just mini golf with easy holes and not many novelty holes and WAY over priced. If it was cheaper we would probably visit every couple of weeks or at least once a month. But with this price it will be once or twice a year if that. but thank you for a great morning out.

User

Nice day out, my son played football down the lane earlier & scored a hatrick so I decided to treat him. It was a nice day so was busy & no clubs available upon arrival. We had a drink in the restaurant whilst we waited adding to the cost of the day. It's not the cheapest day or most taxing of courses. But it's nicely laid out & my son loved it. We will be back again that's for sure, but the prices could put people off as if it's quiet I would expect to get around in 30-45 minutes.

User

A good activity, however there was rubbish that’s had clearly been left by the builders around the outskirts. Considering it is brand new, it was already fairly battered with some of the signs which had fallen off and one of the holes was broken. Like previous reviews have said, some holes are pretty basic, even at about hole 10etc when you expect them to become more difficult as you go on. Was fun, but the little things let it down.

User

Went on Monday as a surprise for my partner. Needless to say this place was way overhyped. Nobody was there, we were the only two playing. There were no staff keeping watch over it. There was rubbish left about and 3 of the signs for the holes were broken. We had fun but this place is deffo not worth £9.50 each.

User

Went for the first time today with my 2 boys. Money is really tight, so this was quite an expense for me. It was enjoyable enough, and of course Dinosaurs always a plus for small boys. We got around the 18 holes in about 40 mins, which considering the cost isn't quite the value for money that it probably should be. The other unfortunate thing was the pressure to get each hole done and move on so the people behind are not waiting. A better situation would be to have a minimum time delay in between customers. If even only a few minutes then maybe you could take in a bit more of the dinosaurs and accompanying text on the various boards around the holes. Overall. Enjoyable but needs some work to make it better value for money. Will likely go again at some point, but not any time soon as I like value for my money.

User

We went Sunday and also felt it was too expensive for what it was. £27 for family of 4 and most of the holes were easy, hit any direction and you still get a hole in one, ball just rolls in!

Children liked the animatronics but feel more money needed to be spent on the course itself, some of the signs for each hole were wrong or on the incorrect holes. Litter everywhere around the course were people had just left their drink bottles etc, only bin was at the end of course.

Also disappointed to learn that despite ordering two adult pizzas and two kids pizzas in restaurant after we were not told about the offer for free kids pizza that is on the Facebook page..and the restaurant quite expensive too, the offer would have softened the blow!

Unfortunately unlikely to be back at those prices or with that course. Pizza was very tasty though.

User

Wasnt as big as the clip gave the impression. Felt the holes were a bit basic with not many novelty holes. Ive played more trickier ones at the beach. Also having people queing up behind you is annoying. The whole set up is great with the dinosaurs so much better for small kids. Didnt expect it to be at Lexden golf club otherwise I would have known it wouldnt be big

User

Visited today with my son. Ok little course, however quite a few holes were far too easy. Also think it’s overpriced for what it is. £10 would be a far more acceptable price, seeing as it’s over n done with in half an hour, I was expecting the course to be far bigger, the promo pics are very misleading!

User

The Dinosaurs and backdrops are very good and alot of fun. But at £9.50 per person the actual holes were a little disappointing. I think more could have gone into the design to make it better. If it were around £5-6 pp then likely to go back. I'm sure kids will love it though.

User

Very uncoordinated venue not wanting your business.

1st visit) Arrived at 6:30pm as a family of 5. Quite expensive and super easy. Then thought we’d have a pizza in the restaurant to be told at 7:45 it had stopped serving (it closes at 8pm) as it had a private party.

2nd visit). Arrived at 5pm with daughter and a friend who were very excited. Thought Id learn from past experience so had pizza first to be disappointed to arrive at mini golf desk who informed us at 5:50 that it closed at 6pm due to daylight. It was a beautiful April hot sunny evenings by with dusk being at 9:30!! The overall management really do need to look at the operating model and coordination of underlying franchises. It has such potential but so far shocking and uninterested in taking customers.

User

Over priced for the time it takes to go round. Its a very small course becuase most of the sections were rather short. Apart from hills and dips there weren't really any obstacles which meant most of the holes are far too easy, even our 9 year old got 3 hole in ones. On a positive note it was nice and clean with lots of bins avalible.

User

visited the colchester branch of the mighty claws golf adventure and must say i was very disappointed, thinking it was going to take a while to go round all 18 holes i arrived for the opening time of 10 and the whole game was done by me and my daughter by 10:32, don't get me wrong it looks nice and is done well although the holes are way to easy with my 9yr old getting 4 holes in one's and she's only done putting a few times i would of thought it would of been more tricky then what it was , for the cost of £16 for myself and my daughter it's very over priced for how long a game can take, so to me its not a family morning/afternoon out and for the time and cost there's so much more you could do with your money, i wouldn't recommend it

User

Empty glasses left all over, broken glass on hole 13 and water feature looked like it was under construction. Expected better for the money
