First time visitor Adrian Lazarus has just sent me this photo of our biggest Ghostie. It weighed in at 25lb 6ozs, down a bit after spawning but looking in great condition. Thanks for the photo Adrian.

Some more cracking fish from Tom Roper from the Specimen Lake. The biggest one was just over 20lbs.

The smile says it all! A very wet, but happy Jim Willis with a 17lb 4oz cat caught in awful conditions over the weekend. Well done on sticking it out Jim 👍

Barrie Christian caught this fully scaled mirror from the Specimen Lake this weekend. At 15lbs it's nowhere near our biggest fish but who cares about size when they look like this!!

2 of the 7 carp to 15lbs that Tom Roper caught in a 24 hour session on the Cat n Carp lake.
Some anglers had very good catches on this lake over the weekend, while others struggled in the very changeable weather! Several cats reported getting hooked but unless you can tell me differently, none were landed.

Interestingly, we've also 3 more baby cats caught the week. Two at 10½'' and one at 14½'' were caught on cheese paste close in on the margins!!

Jo Rawlings with her first ever Wels Catfish caught yesterday at 22lbs 8ozs! Great angling!

First time visitor Simon Willey had an outstanding 4 night session on the Specimen Lake last week banking 15 fish to 28½lbs.
In his words 'Thanks again for a lovely four nights .Bait was two grains of corn on a claw rig on a size 8 and a grain of tiger nut with a corn tipper on a size 8 kd rig. Simple stuff fished over a bed of particles. Stunning place and really friendly people and staff. Loved it!

The Specimen Lake is fishing brilliantly this week!
Loui Gomersall sent these photos of his 2 biggest fish, a mirror of 22lb 8oz and a 19lb 12oz common. This was from a five fish catch.
Most other anglers have caught, with one angler banking 11 so far to 25lbs, from a three night session.
... We have lots of spaces on this lake and the Cat n Carp lake for the weekend as everybody was waiting to see what happened with the football! Give us a call on 01822 610888 to check availability and book please.

Apparently there is some game on telly tomorrow afternoon which has killed our Saturday bookings!! If you wish to avoid the game give us a call and you can get a nice peaceful night booked up 😀

What can I say that everybody else hasn't already said? It's probably the best coarse fishery in the South West with some cracking, good sized, variety of fish . The shop and the facilities are great and you always get a warm and friendly welcome from Paul and Andrew, nothing is too much trouble and they also make a great cup of tea �

Went here today for the first time, what a beautiful place, great shop to match. So many fish being pulled out just a shame it wasn't me pulling them out. Although my son caught a beauty.

We take our son here and he loves this place. We his parents find everyone very friendly and helpful. Plus side is that it is very peaceful and beautiful place to sit and watch our son fish as I don't fish myself.

This is a great set of local lakes, I've your to fish the bigger lakes, but I will book that up in a few weeks time, I've had some nice carp

Possibly the most relaxing place ever, great carp and lovely gent at the shop I would recommend this place to anybody who want to start fishing there.

Me and my son have just spent 3 days on the cat and carp lake. On peg 7 . Where we had 9 carp and one cat fish . It was a first cat fish and crass carp for us . We have fished at a lot of fisheries in devon . And milemead is are favourite place to fish . Friendly owners and staff . And a very good shop . My son can't wait till we are there again .

Me and My Mate Craig, Spent all Day Yesterday Fishing there and it was the Great, We both caught loads of Carp, Silvers, and Roach, Fantastic Day out, Thanks to Milemead.

Love the place have had many a great session on the carp lake but have just recently turned my attention to the specimen lake in search of the illusive twenty pound plus fish still haven't had the luck of catching one but trust me there are some stunning giants in there

Just got back from a superb 48hr session on the Carp specimen lake at milemead fisheries. Too say we had a great time would be an understatement, hats off to the fishery owners and staff as the place is run and looked after beautifully. The carp are all lovely and in great condition. (proper dark and scaly) Every swim is very comfortable clean and tidy, and gives each angler plenty of options to fish to the many features in front of you. The shop on site is well equipped with tackle, bait, refreshments etc. Also of note the toilets on site are kept extremely clean and hygienic. Overall one of the finest fisheries I have visited and will be coming back very soon. We caught 11 carp in total 3 being over the magic 20 pound barrier up to 27lb 4oz. (Pictures to follow) Thanks again Paul, we had a great time.

Had another brilliant session bagging up on Wednesday on the carp and silvers lake. Top quality service from the guys there too.

Great place to go..very helpful owners...I've been fishing here since 1985...gets better as the years go by....highly recommended.....

I must say milemead is a very well run fishery and Paul and the lads are very helpful has a well stocked tackle shop on site and the fish well you will struggle to find prettier fish anywhere in the south west can't wait to get back and get some of there beautiful fish in the back of my net

Even if I don't catch much I still enjoy my day by the lake. Everyone is friendly and helpful and know their fish

By far the cleanest and most interesting set of lakes I've ever fished. You never know what you'll reel in. Since finding this place last year I try and get down there as often as possible.

Brilliant place to go and fish.. great and helpful staff. Become a regular on the carp lake.. good days fishing.

A fantastic couple of days at this beautiful Fishery. A very friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming owner who cares about his fishery and Anglers. A well stocked shop and clean facilities. Something for everyone at this venue!
