We are an independent wine merchant who have been trading from the same site in Mill Hill, North London, since 1982.
Our fine selection of wines, spirits and craft beers are all hand-picked for their exceptional quality and value. We are passionate about bringing you only the best wines and everything is tried and tested before it makes it onto our shelves.
In addition to our extensive range of old and new world wines, we offer a huge range of spirits including more than 100 whiskies.
We also stock a large range of Cuban cigars with Vitolas from all the main brands including Partagas, Cohiba, Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta.
Our monthly in-store wine or spirit tastings are a great way to try something new: they are designed to be relaxed, informal and accessible for everyone – a great night out!
With over 50 years’ experience in the trade between the team, we pride ourselves on our customer service. We are always here to help you and offer expert purchasing advice across the whole range of wines and spirits, beers and cigars.

New wine from the Loire - melon Blanc vendange Nocturne is from one of the best sites in Muscadet Sevre at Maine but is classified as Vind de France due to the decision to name the varietal (Melon Blanc) on the label. Modern in style the ripe 2018 vintage has allowed the fruit character to really shine whilst remaining deliciously fresh and bright with a touch of salinity and spritz on the finish. This really is the best wine shop around, excellent range of wine, spirits and craft beer. Staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, I learn something every time I visit, it's a very rare find.
Mill Hill Wines is a treasure trove. Not only an amazing shop full of unusual and special wine , spirits & beer, but a wealth of knowledge from their friendly and experienced team, running regular tastings. At a time when retail experience is becoming distinctly impersonal, MHW is an example of a specialist shop which is at the centre of community life. Couldn't recommend more highly for anyone who likes something a bit special as well as the run of the mill brands :-D
