We were a party of four visited on 23rd August. Luckily we had booked as it was so busy . Our Waitress was excellent, she was rushed off her feet having been given extra tables to serve.

Our starters, main courses and desserts we delicious . We all chose steaks, they were cooked to perfection and enjoyed by us all. Cannot find fault with anything.

Well done to chefs and waitresses, you all did so well on such a busy evening.

We never book. Go at least once a week. Could do with a roast on Sundays. We like it there. We don't mind waiting for our usual table. We are never in any hurry to leave the lovely bar area. Struggle to find alternative meals but anyone would the amount of times we have been there. Just think it's handy bar and restaurant lovely food and we always have excellent service. Couple of iffy steaks but didn't pay. You need to be firm and not be fobbed off with taking a pudding off the bill. Please don't be put off by some negatives give it a try you might like it!

Lovely meal with the family, waitress very attentive but not intrusive. Not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Not at all rushed even though it was Easter Monday. Plenty of parking. Lovely building. Good range of wines/drinks etc. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would go back.

Lovely food, lovely service by waiter young lad, nose ring, blonde hair looked after me and my Partner well. Food was tasty and lots of it we left absolutely stuffed and well watered. Chilled mixed environment of families, couples. Just a lovely experience. Second time there and I will be back for more steak and lobsters 😆

I had the best steak/ best meal / best dessert I think I’ve had for ages. My steak was cooked perfectly & my red wine sauce was to die for!!

My only complaint was that our waiter didn’t once during our meal, come over to see if everything was ok or if we wanted anything.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday with my husband ...the food was such good quality and so well presented ..but they didn’t have the dessert I wanted! Very surprised by other reviews but all I can think is that there was only 2 of us and it was so quiet..we were virtually the only ones there, lol!

We were in there last night and we thought it was very nice! My husband made a mistake with the booking but they managed to get us in without a fuss! The waitress was lovely and our food was piping hot or my husband would have sent it back! Food and cocktails were very nice my only negative was that his fillet steak was tiny and for 24.95 thought that was a but dear! We would go back!

We went to Miller & Carter for a birthday meal for me & my daughter. We were a party of four and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared two chateaubriand steaks which were delicious & cooked perfectly. The general atmosphere was pleasant & our waiter Dylan was delightful in his manner as well as being very efficient & knowledgeable as regards menu, drinks, etc.



All in all we had a wonderful experience & will definitely return in the very near future.

We usually go to Miller and Carter to celebrate birthdays etc. But every time we go we usually find the service is not very good and last night was the same. Never seem to find a good waitress they either don’t listen or take too long or forget? Which was all 3 last night. My daughter waited 10 minutes for a chair as didn’t have enough chairs at the table. She didn’t take everyone’s drinks order and I had to call her back. The food was mixed up and messed up as three of the meals were wrong. It was my mum’s birthday and her meal was wrong along with my aunt who then had to wait another 15 mins while the rest of us were eating. My daughter who was so hungry only waited an extra five mins. The manager did send a free drink over as it was my mum’s birthday and took the service charge off of the bill. The food was lovely but we wish they would employ some cheerful staff to accommodate. It’s the same every time but the steaks are good! Can only hope if we go again it will be better. May give it one last chance?

Took 1 hour to get out starters another wait for mains drinks took ages to take the order then at least 20 mins to get the drinks food was nice but too much waiting for food and drinks. Waitress service everyone didn't seem too bothered or happy

Arrived on time but had to wait 45 minuets for our table, then had to call a waitress because we were just left. Cheesy garlic bread, half had no cheese and was cold and undercooked, steaks not cooked to how we ordered and a grumpy waitress when she appeared. We’ve always gone to Miller and carter, used to go to hall place before this one opened, you’ve been open a while now and there still isn’t enough staff, most run off their feet and grumpy. The toilets need someone checking on them more regularly too, loose seats, wet floor and toilet roll everywhere but where it’s meant to be

Went for Father’s Day as the previous visit we had a lovely meal.

This time it was like a different restaurant.

Waited an hour for the main after the starter was cleared. Apparently there was a table of 12 that basically halted all other meals!

My son had a burger and my wife and I steaks.

The burger was burnt and a £24 steak, tender but horribly dry.

The front of house staff were pleasant enough but the restaurant, nothing like it was!

Very disappointing. Our steaks were perfect, but were spoiled by disgusting side dishes and servers who clearly could not care less about their job. When we complained about the the avocado and mozzarella salad with no avocado and the half dead vegetables we were told they would be removed from the bill but this response was routine. Such a shame that good quality steaks are ruined by the rest of the food and service being so poor. We have really enjoyed this restaurant in the past but it has gone downhill and we will not be returning.

When the food did arrive, decidedly average, chewy steaks and overcooked ribs!

Poor customer service, not enough staff no one asked if the food was ok and struggled to get additional drinks.

Sad ending to an otherwise good day!!

Went here last night, will never go back table booked for 8:15 got table at 8;45 ordered at 9:15 food came at 10:45pm! So overpriced complained to manager who said she would sort something with the bill they took off the bread cost and a bowl of prawns! Avoid this place unless you don't minding waiting 1hr and 3/4 for your food!!

We've visited here a few times in the past and I have to say that each time we visit it seems to get worse and after yesterday's visit we won't be returning. 11 of us attended for my cousins 18th birthday, all but two meals were stone cold when arrived (let alone the 2 and a half hour wait to receive our mains, even though we did have starters that's a bit ridiculous). The steak that was an edible temperature was tough and no where near as nice as I've experienced in the past. Some of us just ate the food cold because we was so hungry and couldn't be bothered to wait any longer. Given two meals for free but considering 9 out of 11 meals were served cold, it wasn't enough. Overall a poor experience and ruined my cousins 18th birthday family meal.

Slow service at both the bar and our table last night which was a table of 8 celebrating a birthday. Also the calamari appears to have given 2 members of our group food poisoning as both have been extremely ill throughout the early hours and all day today. Have submitted a complaint online, here’s hoping I receive a reply very quickly!

Second visit here first time for husbands birthday and his steak was not how he asked it to be cooked, was replaced but he said he’s had a lot better else where! My young daughter had chicken bites which were grey inside (def not breast) they too had to go back! ! I asked at the end of the meal if my husband could have a drink on the house to make up for him waiting as he ended up eating on his own which wasn’t on, they promptly and quite matter of fact said “No” we don’t do things like that Mmm very nice too I thought. This was supposed to be a lovely, family birthday meal!! 2nd visit yesterday (Sunday) was for my uncles 80th birthday. We again asked if my little one could have breast of chicken as it was so poor the previous visit, waiter said she could have a chicken breast off of the adults menu which came up the size of a chicken nugget and dry as anything!

My niece had pasta with meatballs which came up dry with the least amount of sauce and cold!! Garlic bread was burnt with no garlic on It whatsoever this too went back. The joke is actually now the so called chef can actually send something out of the kitchen presented in such a way! Very disappointing as the restaurant itself looks very inviting and cosy upon arrival. Overall would not return back here. Please don’t waste your money like we did.

Just because I’m a traveler I was treated like s**t very bad service and I did explane that I had money and I was willing to pay up front if it makes it better but the food also was crap I waited for my chips for at least 7-8 min won’t be going back there any more
