lovely resturant surroundings and atmosphere restful and peaceful service and food excellent I would highly recommend this place, My son is very fussy on how his steak is cooked and whatever way you like it done it comes served to you to perfection.

We went to this new branch last night and the food was perfect. Really enjoyed the food and the staff were very good. We have been to the Reading branch a few times and this one is just as good. Will be returning soon!

I came In last night (Friday the 17th Nov.) with the misses and we were blown away by the fantastic service we received!

Firstly the Manager on host was such a welcoming gentlemen and made us feel incredibly welcome in the venue,

Next up was our server Lewis, he was such a great cheerful and polite man, always around if we needed him and very attentive with my table,

Next up food,

We had two starters, the duck and the chicken and they where out within 15 minutes despite it looking like a busy night, and they were perfect!

The steak mains where amazing and cooked perfectly again not long of a wait for our mains, always a plus, we were confused by the Side of lettuce wedge but Lewis explained it and we think it's a great idea!

Excellent choice of Steaks which are reasonable priced. Excellent service from our waiter Elvis who also had very good knowledge of the menu etc. The 20oz T-bone steak I had was in my top 3 I've ever had in my life and that's coming from a massive steak snob. Definitely will be coming back for more very soon!

What a great place, our table was booked in advance which helped, but the staff, the staff here... in this busy ass restaurant, on a Sunday... full house...still had time to welcome, seat and feed and water us while they had two big ass parties there. Well done with sugar on top folks!

Was there on Tuesday

Had to wait a while for drinks after being seated was very disappointing and time between starters and main course took long time which with kids was not good enough

Though the food was good was disappointed in service times

My wife and I come here regularly, and last night we came for my wifes birthday with two other couples!

Now normally we are quite happy with the food and the service.

What was a bit disappointing for me last night was my £25 T-bone, it was chewy and tough. At that price the least I'd expect is a nice juicy tender steak.

The service was good, the servers are always friendly and laughing which is nice to see!



The bill came to £300 including the £35 tip, just wish my steak could have been better. Saying that we will be back and hopefully the steak will be better!!

It was very busy but we were served in a timely manner. Our server was very experienced and friendly. Best steak I've eaten in a long time, perfectly cooked and accompanied by great side dishes..we will go back!

Go to Taplow, get Quality meat, nice surroundings, good service, more sauce needed on lettuce starter, but I would say it’s our favourite place to eat, for special occasions.

Exceptional steak really enjoyed it and the way it was served ,the only downside for me was although delicious was the stuffed marrow bone didn’t think it justified the £7.75 price tag , would recommend this place to any steak lover .

We had booked a table for my sons 30th Birthday

We sat at the table for over 20 mins ( restaurant virtually empty) before we were given a menu to look at.

In the waiters haste to clear the table he cleared a couple of plates that weren’t actually finished

On the plus side like the way the kids food was served first and help with surprise birthday cake

I've eaten in many places (good and bad around the world) and my father was a top chef for over 30 years... As such the food was ok 3/5 - The service (by our waiter Philip) was excellent / attentive and nothing was any trouble 5/5

The venue is average and comes across like a swanky Harvester 2/5 as such I won't be rushing back, but feel it's worth a go once... If you go, enjoy x

Have been a few times on Thursday night's for the "date night" deal.



Went tonight, the waiter was either too busy or not bothered as took ages to take our order and for our starters to arrive, if it hadn't have been for another waiter (Damien) sorting things god knows how long we would have waited. Mains I'd ordered the burger but was then told they had no smoke bacon and no pulled meat. Agreed to have normal bacon and a slice of the onion loaf, burger arrived with no bacon or onion loaf. Got to desserts and out of the 4 I chose the lemon posset to be told all they had left was the sticky toffee pudding or chocolate brownie, and could only chose from those 2. Ended up ordering brownie and only eating the ice cream and strawberries as was too sickly.



A real shame to be let down by somewhere I've liked in the past. Only reason you got 3 stars is your "rescue" waiter Damien!

Went there for the first and last time the other night. The place looks nice and the staff was attentive but the food... When you pay £25 for a steak you expect it to be a great stake but the only good thing about it is the size. It wasn't cooked as I ordered and then the salad... they basically chopp a lettuce into four quarters, dump a quarter into a bowl, drizzle some sauce/salad dressing on top and let you figure out how on earth to eat it.

The only item that we really liked was the drinks, some non alcoholic cocktails.

Overpriced and overrated.

Still sat here three hours after we arrived. Desserts have only just arrived. Had a wait of nearly an hour between starter and main course. Steak was overdone. Many things missing from the Sunday menu so ended up paying almost double for food. Really really disappointing with two small children who are now falling asleep at the table.

I didn't like it for a few reasons. Went to lunch with colleagues today. Took ages to take our order... we ordered and received our drinks. My colleagues drink came in a cracked glass. Then our food came. Mine came with extras. I ordered fish and chips but didn't ask for a pubic hair on my fish! They took it back. Apologised and brought out another meal but my colleagues had already finished their meal by the time I got mine :((

My colleague had the burnt end chilli but the portion size was tiny .. like a kiddies meal. Service wasn't great and it wasn't even busy. Sadly, not the best lunch we have ever had!

Don't think I will be going back there.

Celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary last Saturday 12th. This was totaly ruined by the hour + wait for a pre booked table then part of the meal was forgotten. Response was, "very sorry" and took a glass of wine off the bill (hardly worth the effort).

Waited till Sunday evening to calm down and send a complaint via the complaints tag on the web site.

Not suprised I have had NO response, obviously they do not take such a mile stone seriously and do not care about customers. Tonight I called to speak to the complaints dept for the second time and was left on hold and gave up waiting in the end, what a total wast of time.

We must say that in no way was any of this the fault of the waitress who was so embarrassed and appologetic.

Maybe this post will get a responce but I will not hold my breath. Just to help you the Number on the bill 6696

Extremely annoyed by the lack of care recieved.

Thank you so much for the gluten attack I’m currently experiencing.. excellent way to start off my weekend. There’s nothing I enjoy more than throwing up expensive “gluten-free” food. Please do not serve food labelled as GF if you cannot guarantee it. So very sick and so disappointed �

Starter was not great to share, waitress was in doubt of the menu and what was being served, fries served were cold, complained and the she just said ok and nothing was done to rectify, maybe not a great place to go again.
