Yesterday we had a meal with 25 of us celebrating my grandads 80th birthday. The food was delicious, lots of flavour. Very impressed. Staff were polite. But I would like to mention especially Alison. From start to finish she was our go to or organise the event. Nothing was too much trouble. Every detail from phone calls to decoration she was absolutely incredible. Very polite, informative, incredible customer service skills. She is an asset to that restaurant and deserves a special mention for all her hard work and for making yesterday an amazing celebration for my grandad. Thank you so so much Alison and all the team ÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Wow amazing food all round , we have had some lovely meals out where you can say that was a nice steak , or that was a nice pudding, but on wed 23rd my husband and we enjoyed every bit of the whole meal and Lovely friendly staff , we will be back that's for sure , Thankyou.

What more can i say i went there yesterday with a friend from work and i was greated by the manager Kristina with a big smile and very friendly and place was very well kept and all staff friendly and helpfull. i had a lovely 12oz rib eye steak and was cooked perfectly and as im a chef and have been for some time i tend tpick at things when im out eating at other places but i found no fault at all so credit to the chefs there.The atmosphere was very relaxing and was amongst families and couples im afraid i cant fault this place and ill be back again very soon with more friends and family ...well done miller and carter.

Went here tonight with a party of 13 for my wife’s 40th birthday and the food was amazing and so was kris hayhoe our waiter. Couldn’t do enough for us. Will defiantly be returning. Best bit of fillet steak I have ever had the the chocolate bomb for dessert was divine.

Went here for dinner and it was amazing!!! Food was so tasty and plenty of it. Our waitress Allison was amazing aswell. Very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Bar staff and cocktails were really good too. Can't fault the food or the service. Definitely going back again soon. ÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Visited this evening for the first time to celebrate my daughters birthday. Very impressed! Our waitress was extremely helpful, ensuring my daughter had a special evening and we could not fault the food at all. A great evening had and we will be visiting again.

Popped in by accident, and regret not going there sooner. I had a 12oz steak cooked perfectly, succulent flavour and everso tender. My wife had as she described it the best ever burger she’s had. My only criticism tables a bit too close together

Have been here several times and never been disappointed. The food and service is excellent.

Was here last night for a surprise birthday meal and was made to feel very special.

Our waiter and waitres had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency.

Had the most fantastic meal last night, the staff were more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The stakes were cooked to perfection, hats off to the chefs. Would definitely recommend.

Food was lovely, cocktails were perfect but what made our night really special was the excellent service, especially with our children. We had a party of 8 ranging from a 6 month old baby to a 74 year old and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you ÔŅĹ

Food was absolutely amazing, steaks where out of this world!

Date night here last night and thought we'd give it a try and what a great choice. Food amazing, service outstanding, price affordable. Everything off the set menu had loads of choice which I wasn't expecting. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

Celebrated my birthday with my family, had a fantastic time the food was great from the youngest (8yrs) to the oldest in our party 89yrs all had a great time the service was superb Jm

Came here last night for a surprise birthday meal for my Mum and had the best time. The staff were so friendly and lovely people. Very attentive and met all are needs. They even brang her out a birthday cake and sung happy birthday to her. The food was amazing. Can‚Äôt wait to go here againÔŅĹ

Went on a Thursday and it was very very busy

Took 20 minutes to take our drinks order and 40mins for my drink to arrive as waiters and bar staff weren’t sure whether my wine should be sold by the glass or bottle even though the wine menu gave both choices???

Food was nice, not the best steak I’ve eaten but was ok.

The peppercorn sauce is very spicy which I found out, luckily my husband swapped his with me.

Didn’t have the pudding I wanted so opted for the lemon tart which was nice and refreshing



Starter was delicious

Overall good night and would come again

Its ok. One step up, possibly, from Harvester although there is a salad bar at Harvester. Steak very tasty but extremely over priced of course. Unfortunately we sat next to a party of 14, who were enjoying themselves lots which included racist remarks to the waitress. Miller & Carter policy on racism is 'say nothing and move the waitress to serve a different table' it appears. Nothing funnier than 14 drunks sitting in a Miller & Carter on a Saturday night ÔŅĹ. This has left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth and a sad offended view on the whole place. 2018... and racism is alive and well it seems and being positively encouraged at Miller & Carter, Stanway.

Since this miller and carter has opened we have been many times ( normally every few weeks ) unfortunately not always good.

We have had various chefs unable to cook a steak to order and sometimes poor quality steak.

But always the managers and staff have been fab and sorted any problems, which is why we return time and time again.

Well it would appear not anymore, the waitress we had on Friday was shocking and really had no idea of customer service.

On returning home I sent an email to the manager to raise the issues the server didn’t deal with and it would appear she really couldn’t careless either .

She didn’t respond to my concerns other then to defend her waitress.

Will not be return to this restaurant, very disappointed.

Had our first lunch trip here on Saturday, have previously been in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed it, however this time was nowhere near the standard expected!

To start off we wanted to sit in the sun which we did but they didn’t provide table service outside, despite the restaurant being empty! We ordered at the bar and had to pay in advance, we had a sharer starter which would have been perfect except for cold duck wings! And a sharer main I believe it was called the butchers block (the one with 3 steaks) bit more pricey than we would normally go for but we treated ourselves as it was our first date day in ages!

Needless to say this is where the problems lye! You would expect a steak restaurant to nail the steak every time but all 3 where medium well- well done, when we order medium rare! We waited 5 mins for someone to check back on us but nobody came as we where outside! So ate the meal rather than carrying the whole tray back through the restaurant and having to wait for a redirection, £60 for over cooked steak! We weren’t offered any compensation and left disappointed!

Always a bit hit and miss with this Miller and Carter. Visited on 12 May and had nachos to share to start (which seemed to have shrunk since last time) then had steak and stale onion loaf for mains. Steak was beautiful but the onion loaf was old, cold and stale. My other half had a burger, again with the god awful cheese sauce, even though it’s not advertised on the menu with cheese sauce. With two drinks came to almost £50 which seems overpriced for the below average food. Didn’t complain as didn’t want to cause a scene. Will try again in a few months I guess
