Went to ottershaw Miller n Carter restaurant for first time for husbands birthday. Group of 6. Round table is always a good sign.

We all chose the butchers block with different sauces. The waitress was lovely n considerate.

The meal was lovely. Steaks cooked to perfection. Clean plates all round.

Just not a fan of the wedge of lettuce.

Would definitely return.

Took my husband here for his Birthday lunch, we have a lovely time. All staff friendly, our waitress Rachel in particular was very nice and took great care of us recommending sauces etc she had tried. Steaks were perfectly cooked , food overall was superb. Definitely would recommend and will be going back very soon.

My two children treated me there for Mother’s Day. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Gorgeous interior, lovely friendly staff and very efficient. Superb food filling enough to be able to indulge in 3 courses. Thankyou very much. I will be visiting again..x

Just had the most amazing experience !! Had a lovely meal and the woman who was attending to us absolutely made my night ! I didn’t get her name but she was amazing , made us feel comfortable and at ease , she also gave me a little birthday treat unexpectedly � I can’t tell you how much it made my night �

Had a meal here on 27th May. It was quite possibly one of if not the best meal I've had! Our server was fantastic (Agnes) all in all a great night! Will definitely be back

Had a fab meal here this evening. There were 8 of us celebrating my mums 75th birthday. The food was superb, thank you to the chefs. The service was excellent, we had a lovely waitress who looked after us very well and made our visit a very memorable one. Mum even got a lovely icecream birthday cake. These make it it even more special. Thank you again, we will definitely be back x

Although busy we were seated within 5, ordered our drinks which came promptly as did our lovely good, waitress was lovely never ever had a bad experience since it opened and we come regularly, BIG THANKS M & C

A brilliant night , food cost a lot but you get what you pay for and the food is top notch very good service.

After having a nice meal I presented my forces discount card, as a veteran, expecting that I would receive a small discount, like many other chain restaurants do, but sadly this wasn’t accepted in Miller & Carter, so I settled the bill, tipped the waitress and left. I would have thought that a company such as M&C would recognise forces and veterans and offer a form of discount, perhaps this could be something to think about?

Waited a long time for our starters and main course. Wanted 8oz sirloin but they had run out. So chose the 10oz Angus sirloin as was advised this was much tastier than the one I wanted, it wasn’t very nice, very fatty and chewy. My wife ordered a fillet medium rare and it came rare. Pointed this out to the waitress at the end of the meal but was just ignored. Spent £150 for 4 people but for the first time was not happy with the overall experience. We have eaten here on many occasions and have always found the food and service fantastic. Very disappointing and not sure we will return.

This was our first experience of Miller and Carter and although the steak was lovely. For the person who didn't eat steak they had sold out of 4 other dishes on the menu. Then they had sold out of cider meaning I had to drink water as I don't drink wine. The waitress was useless in offering any alternatives to all the sold out options, just saying 'we don't have that' no oh I can recommend this etc which I would expect from a restaurant of this price bracket. I wouldn't rush back that's for sure.

Met up with some old colleagues and even though it was a Monday night the place was very busy so had to wait 40 minutes for a table (didn’t mind as we hadn’t booked and were able to sit at the bar and chat). Waitress was lovely but a bit pushy about how the chef recommended the steaks... I asked for mine well done to which she replied “the chef recommends medium rare”, my response “if you cook my steak medium rare I will not touch or pay for it!”. Waitress promised that they would cook my steak well done however when it turned up it was pink inside!! Clearly the chef ignores customers requests and just cooks it as they think it should be. Other than that a lovely evening but I won’t be coming back.

Food fantastic service not so good we booked but wernt in the book and they seem a little put off as we had a baby who is to small for a high chair sat us at cold fire exit to park the Pram bit of a fire hazard bit hay ho

Cold steaks, complained they took them away and started again. All 4 meals served again but still not hot ! In fact the parsley butter didn't melt on the steaks as they were only Luke warm. Gave up at this point. A 20% discount was given but that didn't really help, the evening was spoilt.

Bit disappointed for our first visit. No ribeye available no lobster available, long waits in between courses.

Steak not as good a quality as was expecting for the price.

Well...I have been to many Miller and Carter establishments so when I saw this one I thought great I can take my group of 8 and expect a good meal and service....not so!

We sat in the garden and were told no table service..fair enough.

We ordered drinks and then food.

Starters were served over a period of half an hour which meant no one ate together.

Mains were served so uncoordinated that I had to go and ask where the last meal was as everyone had finished theirs! No apologies from the sullen manageress. Vegetables were shrivelled and the meagre sauces were crusty.

We were then given a tray by a waiter and asked to put our plates/ glasses on it for them to clear away. Another waiter then said that was “bad practice” and came and cleared our table.

Puddings...a waiter came out and said “are you waiting for pudding?” So...the ice cream etc that had been melting for god knows how long was served....the cheese and biscuits took another 20mins and a word with the “manageress” to eventually be served. It had been “forgotten”

Then...two dirty tea cups and a milk jug festering mould later we left.

No apologies and an “absent” manager I was left to vent my disappointment via this review.

Never been in such a poorly run and disgustingly Miller and Carter ever. Be ashamed

Shocking service all round, booked a table for 8.15 Saturday night, got seated at 8.30. Waiter took so much time to come over, took Order walked off , 9.40 came around and still no food, waiter came over an hour after taking the order to tell us ther was an issues that food was taking longer after blanking us for an hour told us what we ordered they didn't have left the manger needs re training as has no people skills what so ever disgusted with the service food was horrid when we did receive it at 10.00pm no point eating here burnt stake cold sides even more never have in what youv ordered Shocking! Just disappointment
