We visited for my husbands birthday - the service was amazing - (Jules was so lovely and helpful - what an absolutely star ! )the food was outstanding ! I have to say it’s the best steak I have ever had . We will definitely be returning and will recommend to everyone I know - thank you for a lovely evening x
This was a welcome home meal, after working away for four years. There were six of us in the party. Four adults and two teenagers. To start our waitress Caroline was just lovely, professional and friendly. The menu was extensive but not too diverse. The starters, main courses and puddings were all presented and cooked to perfection. It was an all round fabulous family meal. Absolutely loved it.
Thank you xx Dave & Michelle.
The food was out of this world good! I highly recommend the beef dripping sauce with your steak. The steak was cooked perfect to what I asked for. The waiter was also very polite and funny.
A good first experience!
The chef special the chicken experience was delicious enjoyed every mouth full. Presentation 10 out of 10 . service 10 out of 10 cleanliness 10 out of 10:

Quality food as per usual! One thing I would like to high light is the waitress,, she was called Jules and such a nice helpful lady with great advice and an all round amazing person, this world definitely needs more people like Jules. Thanks again miller and Carter team especially Jules :-)
Lovely food as usual from Miller and Carter and the friendly, enthusiastic staff sang Happy Birthday and served a Birthday dessert to my friend. We used a voucher for glasses of fizz which was fab and added to the occasion. We had a great time and will definitely come again.
Just had a father’s deal meal with 6 family members and our waitress, Susan was outstanding. An absolute asset to the company. The food and overall service was awesome as always, but Susan stood out to us all. Thank you Susan.
It's unusual that I'd be leaving a review for a steak house. However Miller and Carter deserves an immense amount of praise. After attending for a family meal we asked if they could accommodate a vegan to which we were told it was no problem. The service was exceptional and the waitresses went out of their way to make sure our party was well looked after. The quality of my vegan option was incredible and my thanks go to the chef for accommodating me despite there being no vegan option on the menu. Well done Miller and Carter for including our entire family our occasion.
I went last Saturday for a meal and me and my girlfriend both had fillet steak, it was one of the best steaks I’ve had and the service was incredible, Joules ( the waitress’) was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
100% would come back.
First visit to miller and carter last night. It was fantastic!! The waiter James was fab so helpful and attentive! Will definitely be back. Starters were really good we had the sharing board and the steaks were amazing! Best steak I have ever eaten. Can’t wait to come again

Amazing food!!!!!!! Went with family on a whim and got a table. Lovely relaxing place and felt like we had personal service! The food was out standing and we all will be going back soon
After a pleasant but chilly walk on Blackpool promenade on 23/02/18, it was nice to walk into a warm and friendly atmosphere and be served with our tea time meal from very efficient and friendly staff. The food and drink was excellent. We will use this restaurant again the next time we are in the area.
A very nice meal ..I had rump steak and my partner had the burger meal..good price for the meal but the drinks were expensive £2-50 for a draught small Pepsi and £4-50 for a pint lager shandy..a bit steep but never mind we will know in future
Went to the St Annes Miller and Carter after seeing the Valentine's Day offer which seemed to be good value. This was our second visit, the first was a week after they opened but we won't go into that visit.
We were sat at a table next to a speaker blasting out music that wasn't what would be called conducive to a "romantic evening" and couldn't hear ourselves talking. We asked to be moved but no tables available but to be fair they turned the music off. We also had a group of four In their early twenties who kept effing and blinding and shouting that the management just ignored that wasn't adding to the atmosphere.
We looked at the wine list which can only be described at best as limited. The one thing that strikes you when you walk into a Miller and Carter is the huge fancy glass wine store which makes you think they have a large selection of wines. No, they have five or six very mediocre red wines, in fact there is a better selection in the local Working Mans Club.
The starters turned up and were tepid to say the least and had obviously been pre prepared and zapped in the microwave.
Next was the quarter lettuce which is a novel idea and probably the best part of the meal, the blue cheese sauce was excellent.
The main course was to be frank crap. I had an 8oz 30 day aged Rib Eye, medium. I would challenge the 8oz even un cooked and would say it would struggle to hit 6oz and it certainly wasn't medium. The baked potato was microwaved and the smallest baked potato I have ever seen. The Wild Porcini and Black Garlic sauce was Heinz mushroom soup, I presume they had run out of black garlic as you couldn't taste it. Sue's Fillet was tough which is novel as I didn't think that was possible and again was never 8oz.
We had the "Indulgant", (sounds grand) sharing dessert platter which was "brief" The Creme brûlée, lemon dessert and the chocolate dessert were delicious but they were that small it was impossible to share so you had one or the other. The raspberry meringue was literally a few crumbs scattered on the plate.
What really hacked me off the most was when the bill came the £20 deposit was not taken off. It was obvious from observing that this was happening to everyone and the feigned shock by the waitress was laughable. The question has to asked how many people forgot or never noticed and got ripped off. The fact that everyone had to give a deposit to book on Valentines would make you think this would have happened automatically.
If this meal had been at Wetherspoons or other pub chain and you were paying £8.99 for the steak you would say that was not bad and value for money. But if you market yourself as "Steak Experts" and a premium eating experience with premium prices you need to do a hell of a lot better than that. It will be a long time if ever before we go back.
Today has been incredibly difficult and this evening was supposed to make things a little better. My parents would have been married for 59 years today but sadly we lost my dad a few weeks ago. They always celebrated together by sharing a Chateaubriand, their favourite meal usually at the Grand hotel or Clifton arms. It took me a while to convince her to go out tonight for the first time since he died. The meal was a disaster, tough and fatty. The waitress asked if our meal was ok and we told her it was not and asked for the bill. At this point my mum had become tearful. The waitress did say "sorry about that" and brought the bill. We paid and I got my mum home. I feel so guilty for making a bad day even worse. I would have expected the best of the best for £46.95. Never again. The dog however had a lump of meat she was happy with, fit for purpose in my opinion.
Maybe it was the time of day and inadequate staffing levels but my experience today wasn’t great. The menu will excite any taste buds especially if you like steak. The decor and ambience is nice but the service was extremely slow. When our meal finally arrived the chicken tasted very dry as if it had been kept underneath a heater to keep warm for a while. It wasn’t easy to eat and tough so most of it was left including the copious amount of unnecessary chips. We mentioned this to the waitress and a complimentary drink was offered but we could not accept this as we had to pick children up from school and we had been in there for an 1hr 40 minutes. I left feeling a bit disappointed especially after paying £35 for a meal that wasn’t satisfactory enough.
Disappointed with our meal yesterday. If this had been our first visit, it would’ve been our last. Luckily we’ve been before and had excellent food there. Not sure if it was due to ordering from the Sunday set menu but both the food quality and service were distinctly lacking. Shame as it was my son’s 16th birthday and he’d chosen there especially.
