Went for food tonight with my partner, must say the refurb is excellent!! I went to the ladies early on and noticed vomit on the toilet. It Was reported to the bar staff who corrected and cleaned it up right away! The sevice given by the bar staff whilst waiting for our table was excellent, which carried on straight through to a lovely lady called Joanne who waited on us, she explained the menu to us and explained our options brilliantly, she was incredibly atttentive. Ordered the butchers block for us to share and I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality and the whole look of the dish!! Needless to say it WAS as good as it looked! Some would say it was expensive, I would say it was more than worth the money!! Cocktails were also very good � thankyou �

We had booked in for our parents 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday28th April. The service was amazing we had a lovely waiter called Dan nothing was too much trouble he went the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and relaxed. The food was beautiful specially the lobster mac and cheese. Ricky and his team of chefs did amazing. At the end of our meal the meal the cake was brought out we had brought. The dessert chef sent a beautiful plate out that was all personalised with ice cream and custard on. The parents loved it made them feel extra special. Thank you very much we shall be returning soon.

Third time I’ve eaten here . Thoroughly consistent with great food fresh and tasty waiting staff very attentive and friendly .. a little late with desert menu also the hazelnut ganache bomb was disappointing as I’d presumed it was a hot pudding not ice cream inside a choc shell .thumbs up on the presentation of food �

Our first visit here last night, was promptly seated by Katy who took our drink order and advised us on the menu and was very attentive all night ... nothing was too much trouble! The food the service and the setting was perfect!! Loved the intimate feel of the restaurant! I would definitely recommend it’ and will definitely be returning soon

Once again fantastic food and service. The fillet steak melted in your mouth. We used to go to the one in wilmslow but Heaton Chapel tops that. Recommend it for that special meal.

Loved the refurbishment place looks lovely. Was very quiet when we called in for lunch but excellent service, food was lovely and staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Only thing is the food isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and will definitely be eating here again .

I had a burger this time. It had really good flavour in the sear / crust and was juicy all the way through. All the other stuff on the burger was great and the bun was tasty too. Lots of interest in both taste and texture.

Enjoed our lunch from the special offer menu we both had the mushroom & melted cheese starter and for main I had the steak with chease brioche and chips and my husband had the fish & chips enjoyed every bite

Best steak in Stockport by far! Never fails to disappoint. Clean plates every time.. it’s the closest thing to LongHorn in USA if you’ve ever had the pleasure. Deffo worth a visit thank goodness we have a M&C locally. Will be visiting this restaurant regularly on special occasions!

Arrived an hour late because of traffic so we tried to phone up many times to inform you but no one picked up............ then when we arrived we got told we had to wait an hour for the next available table... HOWEVER we did not believe what happened in the next 5 minutes... they gave us a table and we ordered scallops and the chateaubriand from the Valentine's menu which me and my bf think is a very good set menu, and it was the best choice ever cooked to perfection, HOWEVER the dessert that we ordered (indulgent tasting board) was not really enough for 2 to share, and not really that nice in MY opinion. Next time I shall only order the big creme brule for myself instead of sharing. The lady there that served us was very nice and helpful, her name was Andrea. Amazing and will be back very soon to see her and the food xxx

After reading some of the reviews we were in 2 minds to come to this miller and carter as we loved our visit to the wilmslow branch and we had high expectations.

We booked a lunch sitting time and we were warmly greeted and taken care of by both Joanne and Jamie who i have to say both lovely people, full of knowledge and very attentive to our table. Our steaks were cooked perfectly as requested ( husband likes his rare/medium and i like mine more well done and they got all 3 steaks spot on) whole meal was in fact went above and beyond what we expected. The deals on are brilliant we paid for the Valentine's menu and paid extra ontop to have the butchers block board which was worth every penny. We will be back very soon to try the cocktails and other items on the menu which sounded amazing. Thanks for a perfect valentines day lunch for me and my husband. ���

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Lewis looked after us, very pleasant and engaged conversation with us, we told Lewis that Our 1st visit to a Miller & Carter restraunt was in Edinburgh last month for my birthday and this visit was for ours son's birthday. Our steaks were Devine and cooked to perfection, when his dessert came it had a happy birthday message in chocolate and a candle in his brownie!. With no prompt, just goes to show that Lewis was listening and taking an interest earlier. Will deffo be going back.

Food was lovely but wasn’t impressed with the service was taken to our seat straight away and was told someone would come over to take our order! We was sat there a good 10 mins before the waiter came over! If I’d known that we would of got ourselves a drink from the bar before we sat down!! Also went on the website in the morning and signed up and it says you get a free glass of wine but you have to wait for a code which they didn’t send me but yet when I booked the table you got confirmation straight away!! I explained this to the waiter and apparently the code can take upto 48 hours to come through! Well it doesn’t state that on the website so it’s either false advertisement or I’ll receive it now I’ve actually been in so it will encourage me to go back!! Either way it’s misleading and should state when you sign up it can take upto 48 hours!!

When there tonight 3/5/18. Food was top notch service was very good if I had a complaint it’s that they didn’t have any decent high chairs for kids and they didn’t have a baby changing room. I would highly recommend this place the Mac & Cheese � was delicious.

It was terrible, we found everything was dry and not very warm, we had to wait a good 50 minutes from arrival time till the food actually arrived and that was when the place was nearly empty.. We went as a 60th birthday surprise for the girls dads birthday but it was really disappointing on this occasion. My daughter ordered a burger as did her partner both of which were really over cooked, dry and burnt. My beef rid was dry as was the girls dads steak however my other daughter order her steak medium and it came medium rare. The service was OK but a few things were miss heard by the waiter ie requested diet coke and he brought red also asked for brownie and cream and it came with ice cream, tbh the waiter seemed awkward and that came across as rude at times. As I said very disappointed.

Tried to book online for Mother’s Day - option to book up to 12 people online says need to call so I called in this afternoon to book in person and they can not accommodate a table of 11 didn’t even ask what time I required - they can accommodate smaller parties but not parties of 11 so they can accommodate a party of 5 and a party of 6 but not if you’re sat together - wtf �

I telephoned to book tables for a 60th birthday at the end of MAY two weeks ago and asked if they could accommodate twenty people I was told by Rachel the most they could sit was fourteen so I asked if they could do two tables of ten then and was told yes they could but they could only do one table at 6pm and another at 8-30pm! because of other bookings and even if they could do two tables they wouldn’t be next to each other what good is that! My overall impression from Rachel was very unhelpful! Had a bad experience when my son took me there the first day it opened so certainly will not be returning to give it the benefit of the doubt after this experience.

Had the worst experience here a week or so ago! I was very rudely told when I arrived that I was late and I had only booked for two (there was four of us) turned out the waiter was reading the wrong booking, we ordered starters, my mum had the king prawns that were like little cold water prawns in a bowl, we had already previously had a mocktail as was both driving, ordered a second one and the waitress brought us one with alcohol in that I wouldn’t of known unless I tasted it! The waitress then decided to try and argue with me stating oh well it’s only one cocktail but I’m not even going into it with you!! Couldn’t believe it, what if someone was allergic to alcohol? My mum is on heart medication and can’t drink really either? I was disgusted by her arrogant attitude towards a paying customer and so we ended up walking out! Will never come here again awful service!

Food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing and was clumsy. We would order and not receive the order and would have to keep on asking again. Then when we finished our main we asked for the desert menu, 30 minutes later still no desert menu so we just left it really wasn't worth spending all night in there waiting!! I will not be dining here ever again just AWFUL !
