We came in on Wed for my mothers birthday, service was a little slow but could not fault the staff. food was good and not bad price on lunch menu. I would like to thank the waiters for going that extra mile and putting a candle in mums ice cream and singing happy birthday. It meant more than you would realise. thank you. will defiantly be coming back.

Visited Miller & Carter this evening for my mums birthday as a party of 7.

Honestly could not fault the place! great atmosphere, fantastic food and the service was absolutely brilliant! We were looked after the assistant manager and a young lad called harrison, and nothing was too much trouble! Very attentive, knew their steaks and what to recommend to suit our individual tastes too!

Highly recommend!

Our second visit to Miller & Carter and another delicious meal and superb service. Steak cooked perfectly again - not many places can get a rare steak right so its great not have to ask for it blue to guarantee it's rare when it arrives! Our daughter had fish & chips which she said were really good and I had the buttermilk chicken which was succulent, tasty and very filling. Special mention to Alin D - our waiter. He was super efficient, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Good service makes a good meal excellent and between Alin & Julita (hope I've spelt this right!) it was a pleasure to visit again. Think I might have overdone it though with the Expresso Martini (which was also delicious) haha! Looking forward to eating here again :)

Just been for a meal and it was amazing, the staff was lovely the food was 5* and the cocktail was on point � definitely recommend it the. sea bass was lovely and the lunch deal 2 courses for £10.95 was well worth it. Nice way to enjoy this nice weather �����

I have now visited a few times, every time the food was great, service was fab and i think the pricing is really good too, lunch menu has a good range of choices and pruce for set menu is fantastic.

Great service even though the restaurant was very busy, the food was top notch on both our visits so far... The stakes we have tried so far, have been cooked to perfection, To be honest we would say the best steak we have ever eaten. See you again soon �

First visit to the Kettering M&C and it didnt disappoint. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere was just perfect ... its got a real buzz about the place.

Busy day to try out restaurant for the first time - Fathers Day...

Arrived 15 mins earlier given a bleeper and got drinks at the bar - only sat down a few minutes and bleeper went off.....

Shown to table, waitress came over and explained about the steaks and left us to decide, food ordered.

Garlic bread to nibble to start came out promptly, finished and cleared before main arrived - no complaints from any of us - yummy - we all like our steak medium/rare

Left room for desserts- scrummy too

Outstanding food and good well managed layout makes the experience of spending time in this restaurant a pleasure. Julita, our waitress for the night, had a passion and commitment to service that surprised us all! Kitchen staff obviously competent. If we had one constructive criticism, it was that we waited several hours for our mains, so were getting a bit fatigued by the time the excellent food, did finally make an appearance. Very happy to return in the future, try the garlic prawn starter, sticky chicken or the fish and chips, all amazing.

The food was great! Very very nice. The service...although pleasant staff it was abit of a shambles with lots of mistakes and lengthy waits. Drinks are incredibly over priced. When ordered drinks at the bar prior to our meal, a pint was considerably under poured and served with a massive froth!! Asked them to top up and told that’s how they have been told by management to serve it!! So not only expensive but not the correct measurements. I’m not sure I would return even if the steak is incredibly good.

Had my first visit here tonight with husband and 10 yr old daughter. Had been told by others who had visited other M&C sites that it was all very good.

All started well. Took a seat at the bar for drinks while waiting for a table. Friendly bar service, and we admired the new decor.

Seated quickly enough, and our very friendly and chatty waitress was engaging and explained the menu.

Grown ups ordered ribeye steaks each, and little one ordered fish & chips from the children's menu.

Thought most dishes seemed 10-15% more expensive than comparable restaurants. All food arrived in a timely fashion and was hot and well cooked. However, I quite literally have never had any food so completely and utterly destroyed by such severe over seasoning with salt. The steak was rendered almost uneatable because of it. All the accompanying parts were fine, and the little one ate all of hers without complaint.

I only managed to get through half of mine before giving up. It had been otherwise well cooked. I was very disappointed, as was the husband.

We explained to our waitress who said she would report back to the kitchen, and removed one drink from the bill. However, I thought £80 for what we had, even if it had been perfect would have still been a little too pricey.

Ah well, a lesson learned.

I don't think we will be rushing back.

The reason I have gave rating is because I liked my dessert as for my main I was severely disappointed.

I had what was advertised as Sirloin steak slices, boy was it a slice! Thinner than wafer ham and only 2 tiny slices with a handful of chips.

I also had onion loaf which was stodgy and freezing cold!!!

Quite bland except my overly salted chips.

Service very slow, hardly anyone in there and took at least 40 mind to get our main.

I can’t say I’ll be going back.

I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and unfortunately it was over cooked!

No pink meat could be seen at all!

I was offered another steak, but I declined as by the time mine had come back out my partner would have finished his meal, and I didn’t want to be eating on my own!

My meal was deducted from the bill but that was all, no further discount given, no free drinks nothing!

Ruined our eating experience!

We won’t be returning to this particular miller and carter establishment again!

The food was nice and well cooked, but, it took over an hour after entering the restaurant before we got any food, it took half an hour before we got any drinks, we were finished our food for over 20 minutes before anyone cleared the table and offered us the desert menu. The service was incredibly slow and it wasn’t even that busy. Also my bill was wrong, which is not good when it’s already over priced in comparison to other places. I won’t be coming back, which is a shame as we went here regularly when it was a harvester.

Came here for a birthday meal, food took ages to come out then when it arrived was told they couldn’t serve some of it because they chef had over cooked it and they had ran out of it, steaks came over done and chewy to the point they were not eaten. Chips had to be replaced due to being cold and waited nearly an hour from our starter to main course being served. People who came in well after us got served before us and got food before us. Will definitely not return. We were offered a discount which was shocking and the bill was still extremely high considering how poor the food was. Really over priced and over rated. There are much nicer steak houses and better priced ones in the area.

sloooooow service. inattentive staff. would have been better if we had been informed prior to seating us at our table that there was no lamb rump on the menu as "it was very popular and they had run out." at least we could have had the option to leave, not wait till we had ordered drinks and starters before we were informed. expensive for 3 starters, 2 drinks and a dessert, which was by the way, very unimpressive, sickly sweet and much overpriced. what a disappointment considering we were so excited to finally have one so close to home. we have been to 3 other m&c branches and this was unfortunately a BIG let down.

Well, where do I start?

We requested a table for two & were seated. It was not very busy.

We asked if we could order drinks to the lady who seated us - she made it clear she would not be doing that, but a designated waitress would come over - nobody came!

- 3 members of staff were stood chatting

- 2 further members of staff stood together, one of which fully in the knowledge we’d like to order drinks - still nothing.....

- We looked at the menu for a few minutes, still waiting for our waitress to come over ....

- Still waiting, I went to the toilets upstairs (of which are still in the same grubby state they used to be) I returned - still nobody had been over.

- We walked out!

- Seriously - if you can’t be bothered to do the basics in terms of looking after customer, not to mention New Customers, why should we be bothered spending our hard earned money with you?

- On another point - we would have liked to have taken the dog there on the hottest day of the year, as we used to, sit outside, eat & drink..... this facility on the picnic tables is no longer an option!

I wonder which idiot thought it was a good idea to switch off 1000’s of potential customers per year, as this was the pub / eatery many dog walkers used regularly?



Poor service, unimpressive menu, overpriced & only half refurbished - I won’t be going back

If I could downgrade my review to less than 1 I would.

This was our third disappointing visit to this "restaurant", we've given it the benefit of the doubt previously as its been relatively new and hoped for improvement with time. Sadly, this clearly isn't to be.

To summerise, during each of our visits, the waiting staff although initially friendly, have either been slow, inexperienced with the system or absent from service.

The food has been of poor quality and cold after a lengthy delay between ordering and serving. Cold and tough steak and chips hardly warrants the price tag demanded by Miller & Carter. Shame on you!

The insipid management while apologetic are ineffectual in dealing with the shortcomings of the kitchen and complaints of the customers.

Needless to say we won't return to waste a single penny here again and urge everyone to avoid this place!
