Went out with my parents for my Birthday we had the most excellent service from the staff , nothing was too much trouble, my party even received a free glass of prosseco ! The food was cooked to perfection and even tho they ran out of cheesecake the choc brownie was lovely. Will be definitely book a table again!

We really enjoyed our meal there and couldnt fault anything, the food was all cooked really well and great tasting, and the service was great. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!

This is a first class steak restaurant, the service is impeccable and all three courses were superbly cooked and presented cannot believe how good the steak was, will have to go back again very soon!

The steak were delicious especially with the beef dripping! Our waiter Kosta was very attentive and really good at his job! Always a great night at M&C ❤️

Second visit in a week and just as good as the first. Excellent chateaubriand and service was once again friendly and efficient. Difference this time was that it was really busy but this did not alter the quality or effectiveness of the service. Well done!

Really lovely place to wine and dine! Me and my partner had a waiter called paolo and he made the experience excellent we had to tip him at the end for how lovely he made our night, nothing was to much trouble. Definitely recommend and will be returning some time soon! Thanks again miller and carter for a wonderful evening!

My husband booked here for a surprise party of 6 peoplr for my birthday. From walking through door to leaving, couldn't fault anything. My grand daughter had asked for medium rare steak and when it arrived it was cooked too much so waitress took great care In asking my grand daughter exactly how she would like her steak, then said I will get you another one but if not right,please let me know and I will arrange it for you. The rest of our group said their meal was perfectly cooked.

Great good, great service! My dessert arrived with a birthday candle in it and a group of waiting staff to sing Happy birthday to me, even though this hadn't been organised by anyone in our group.

All in all, a very pleasant evening and will definitely go back there again

Love coming to what must be my favourite place to eat right now service excellent food excellent hard to get a table which says it all so we always book early . Never had a bad steak yet so keep up the good work.

I’ve been to a miller an carter a few times this one had the best service. Steak was massively under done. Cooked it more brought out on fresh plate new chips new everything without a fuss and still apologised.

Had a fantastic meal last night. Food and service were excellent. The steak and bbq glazed chicken were cooked to perfection. Great choice of drinks. Highly recommend the BlackBerry fizz and mango melba. Marco our waiter was excellent. Cannot wait to go back again.

Very middle class though. I guess that’s because of the pricing. Had a few trips to the loo today don’t think that’s your fault, just my body saying too much meat in one sitting. Oi oi!

First time at a Miller & Carter, what can I say. Excellent food, the steaks were tender & full of flavour. The service was good, friendly & efficient staff. Couldn’t fault it at all, would definitely return and recommend a visit �

Excellent service as always! I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. I had an 8oz fillet steak and my partner had the 12oz sirloin and it was cooked to our liking, our waiter was also lovely, giving us a great deal on a bottle of prosecco and filling our glasses up for us when it got low, we will definitely be returning!

Dinner last nite and as the starter arrived the air con kicked it and it became super chilly. We asked Paulo to check it out within 5 mins he came back apologising then the manager came over soon after the air con was back to normal. Great meal, great customer service definitely not disappointed and grazie to Paulo for being such a star!

Being used to most probably the beef in the world- I am South African, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of Beef at Miller & Carter. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish!

As newbies to the M&C chain they were always going to be under scrutiny on this, our first visit. Glad to report we made the right choice. Just table water wanted? No problem, nice plentiful bottle with ice and lemon in the glass. Good that this is normally on offer, plus in this heat alcohol was definitely not wanted by us. The restaurant itself is nicely decked out and pleasantly cooled, very nice in the current heatwave. Monica our waitress was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food - one medium ribeye steak and a steakhouse burger - were excellent, though the menu contains a lot of attractive-sounding dishes. And foodies that we are, we were tempted into a dessert -not that our main course portions were small you understand, far from it. A goodly choice of sweets is on offer, including two cheese boards I think. For our sweet tooths, both the banoffee pie and chocolate bombe were very good and finally stuffed us. ("Get stuffed at Miller and Carter's" doesnt sound right for an ad campaign!) We were pleased afterwards on understanding Monica would get our tip and quite right because she'd worked for it. I understand the principle of a communal tip 'pot' and that chefs deserve recognition for cooking excellence and hopefully this aspect is addressed in their salaries. But as the interface between us and the restaurant Monica gave an excellent account of herself and Miller & Carter's. There is a big choice of eateries at Reading's Oracle so competition must be fairly fierce. We would like to compare our Saturday lunchtime experience to a busy Friday or Saturday night. No matter for now though, this visit deserves its five stars.

We visited M+C not long ago for the set lunch menu and it was very tasty! The steak with beef dripping was amazing and the apple crumble tart is to die for... the profiteroles are pretty good too (stole one off of my husband)! Can someone pass a good word on for Monica, our waitress, who was extremely attentive, very friendly yet professional, and an amazing waitress. The sign on the door said to dress smartly but we were glad that they let us in with shorts on as it was hot! Very much recommend the Miller and Carter in Reading!

Had our first meal there..interior lovely..staff very accommodating..food lovely..on the downside my garlic prawn starter was very sparse!!..also a tad expensive but a nice experience
