Me and my wife went last night for an anniversary meal, table booked for 6pm taken to the table straight away and our waiter was Marco, well all I can say is that Marco is so attentive and polite. The food was awesome, chuck and duck starter was fab and the ribeye ( medium) was fantastic but to top it off was the sticky toffee pudding, wow excellent definitely come back to you guys again and no offence to the other waiting staff but we hope we get Marco again, that man deserves a massive pay rise and pat on the back.

Me and my husband visited for the first time yesterday for my birthday. The food was lovely and the service was brilliant. Would highly recommend and we will definetly visit again

I was the winner of the Facebook like and share for the Valentine's meal I didn't get a chance to take a picture of a food looked that good I I just wanted to eat it and oh my god it was amazing the staff were brilliant it was very busy but still felt comfortable no rowdy crew like you normally get in a busy place and all you can hear is them it was great would definitely return asap thanks again everyone x

Had a fantastic meal last night, steak was cooked perfectly even though I prefer medium well. My friend and I both enjoyed our steaks and the beef dripping sauce is to die for! Also had a scrumptious banoffe pie! Thoroughly enjoyable meal and evening at a reasonable cost for the quality! Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic place to eat and drink. People who work there are lovely, drinks are beautiful and the food was spot on.

We dined on a Friday evening and although busy, it was still a very enjoyable experience. Not waiting to long for food, waitresses still attentive and food decently priced.

Fab night, arriving early but seated at our table, both had Ribeye 12oz & 16oz cooked just as we asked. Waitress was lovely wish I knew her name as I would give her a mention, thinking she may of been on management side as her uniform was not black top. Been many times so I think this was a one off, the service seemed very very slow I donвАЩt mind waiting but it was a really long time before are meals arrived, one of the dishes had egg on it and it was a little raw and had to be sent back and again took ages just to cook another one and return the dish. This wonвАЩt stop me going again even with this incident the staff where very polite and helpful and all are other meal where bang on as usual..рЯСН

Absolutely fantastic food and service! My partner and I came with our 9 week old daughter and asked for a quieter area to breastfeed with room for the pushchair. We were tucked out of the way as requested but were not forgotten about by the very attentive staff. I had the fillet steak and my partner the sirloin; both steaks cooked to absolute perfection and the sides accompanied the meat well. We could not recommend this establishment enough!

We arrived and were seated prompt. Service was very good. Food was good. We ordered one 8oz sirloin and four rump steaks. I thought upon arrival of the food the steak that I had didnвАЩt seem that big. But also my partner had one of the rump steaks. And later on had an upset stomach not sure whether it was the sauce that came with the steak or th mustard vinegar on lettuce. The steaks tasted and were cooked how we wanted.

Had a lovely burger only thing I can say is no check back???? The only thing to let you guys down friendly staff almost 5* guys will defo be coming back

A lovely place, we went yesterday for our 10 year wedding anniversary and they really put them selves out, a slate with вАЬHappy AnniversaryвАЭ with strawberries and prosecco. Then when we ordered desserts the plates also had вАЬHappy AnniversaryвАЭ on them too. We were leaving and the staff wished us a Happy a Anniversary again. Food was lovely and service was great.

Went last Saturday for the first time for our 45th wedding anniversary meal. We pre booked for 8pm and arrived at 7:45. We were directed to the bar as table not ready. Had drinks then went back to reception at 8:10. Table still not ready, asked to wait. To be fair it was very busy and people were being turned away. Anyway we were eventually called to our table and our server introduced. She was not in the black uniform like others and seemed to be more involved in serving drinks. We eventually had our order taken after a 10 minute wait. We ordered the cheese bread between us as a starter and then the rib eye steak and fish and chips to follow as mains. We enjoyed the bread but left a couple of pieces to go with the mains. This seemed to prevent our mains coming and eventually a young man asked if we were finished with the bread? We said no we were waiting for our mains! We then waited for over 30 minutes to be served the mains! During this time my wife spotted fish and chips sitting on the pass for over 15 minutes and was a little concerned they might be hers! Eventually they were taken be a waiter to another table and we were relieved...but wondered if the table receiving the fish was aware of where it had been sitting for such a long time! Ours arrived and my wife's fish and chips were really nice, my rib eye was ok, but certainly not worth nearly £22. It was quite chewy and had a lot of fat, but not wanting to complain I ate what I could. But I would not have it again, should we re visit! We have been to the Liverpool and Leeds offerings of Miller and Carter and this restaurant is nowhere near their quality. We did see burgers and steaks being returned by other diners. The other point was that when I booked I told then it was our anniversary meal and asked for a nice table. At no point did anyone mention this when we arrived and our table was just behind reception, certainly not a nice one. Luckily we had been given a £50 voucher by our family so it did not cost us too much, I would not have been happy paying out of our own pocket. Certainly it was not a night to remember and don't think we will be going again.

We visited the steak House last night, booking our table online for 8.30pm, arriving a little early we were directed to the bar area. At no point were we told that we would be expected to wait for over an hour for our table. It became apparent that there were issues either with staffing or just over booking, a lot of annoyed customers hanging around and a complete lack of communication. Eventually we were seated and the steak was nice, but who wants to be eating at 10pm? I would have liked to have enjoyed a starter and a pud, but as we had to get home before our children grow up and move out themselves, we had to skip. A real disappointment.

I chose the butchers rump and ask for it to be cooked as recommended on the menu medium , it was rare when I cut into , I ask a member of staff if she considered that medium she said no that she could take it back to be but on the grill , the rest of my food was already Luke warm and my husband was nearly finished is meal of chicken of which he said was very nice , so didnвАЩt bother have my now cold bit of steak recooked. But it in the serviette brought it home for the dog was not worth the money doubt we will be visiting again. , one thing I must say the young man who mostly served us was very polite and efficient

Birthday meal out with my fiance and friends, ordered a 18oz rib eye steak medium rare as I'd been craving a good steak for ages. Looked good until I cut into it and it was well done, not even a hint of pink to be seen.

Complained and had a replacement 12oz steak brought out which was one of the worst pieces of meat I've ever seen, around 20% was edible meat...the rest was gristle and almost laughable. Manager took one look at it and said she would shout at the chefs, and talk to the butchers about the cuts going forward.

Visited miller and carter for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday with my partner and our friends. This place was recommended by other friends and my partner who had also visited before and so was a new experience for myself and my friends. The starters were lovely however given that this place specialises in steaks being a steak house we were shocked and very disappointed to receive the steaks that we did. My friends partner ordered a ribeye med well and myself and my friend a fillet well done well the ribeye was rare not medium well done and as a result he ended up not eating as we had all received our meals. My friends fillet that should have been well done was medium as were parts of mine and hers was very chewy. When making them aware of this they put her steak on to re cook 3 times this is absolutely appalling as even if it did finally ever come out actually well done the fact it was reheated 3 times is disgusting (never mind the fact that this is a ¬£25 steak) When speaking to the manager she didnвАЩt look like a manger or even introduce herself and quite frankly should not be in the position she is in. Her response to the ribeye was itвАЩs new to the menu (really this wasnвАЩt stated on the menu and a steakhouse that hasnвАЩt had ribeye on the menu before really!!) and that she would ensure the chef would in future poke and prod the steak with his finger to ensure cooked correctly (lovely hope his hands are clean) she also stated that it was being trialled and they were the only ones in the region trialling it ( wow at ¬£30 IвАЩd have expected it to have already been trialled before it hit the menu) she carried on to say that they kept having problems with this steak not being cooked correctly (clearly not learning from the problems then) her response to my friends steak being chewy was вАШthe cow must have tensed when killedвАЩ (just want we want to hear, didnвАЩt know whether to laugh or cry at this point) she also carried on telling us about meat passport etc as a paying customer I couldnвАЩt care less would just have appreciated a decent meal ! this manager is clearly in the wrong position there were other tables sending food back and complaining and she clearly was out of her depth and felt that fobbing people off with these ridiculous responses was acceptable. We have now taken this further and contacted the relevant people who are currently in the process of resolving our complaint to a standard that should have been done at restaurant level. Word of mouth can make a big difference to a place and you have already lost the custom of 4 people and others we have told I feel very sad that our celebratory evening turned out the way it did we shall take our money and custom to a business that will actually provide good customer service

Visited miller and carter for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday with my partner and our friends. This place was recommended by other friends and my partner who had also visited before and so was a new experience for myself and my friends. The starters were lovely however given that this place specialises in steaks being a steak house we were shocked and very disappointed to receive the steaks that we did. My friends partner ordered a ribeye med well and myself and my friend a fillet well done well the ribeye was rare not medium well done and as a result he ended up not eating as we had all received our meals. My friends fillet that should have been well done was medium as were parts of mine and hers was very chewy. When making them aware of this they put her steak on to re cook 3 times this is absolutely appalling as even if it did finally ever come out actually well done the fact it was reheated 3 times is disgusting (never mind the fact that this is a ¬£25 steak) When speaking to the manager she didnвАЩt look like a manger or even introduce herself and quite frankly should not be in the position she is in. Her response to the ribeye was itвАЩs new to the menu (really this wasnвАЩt stated on the menu and a steakhouse that hasnвАЩt had ribeye on the menu before really!!) and that she would ensure the chef would in future poke and prod the steak with his finger to ensure cooked correctly (lovely hope his hands are clean) she also stated that it was being trialled and they were the only ones in the region trialling it ( wow at ¬£30 IвАЩd have expected it to have already been trialled before it hit the menu) she carried on to say that they kept having problems with this steak not being cooked correctly (clearly not learning from the problems then) her response to my friends steak being chewy was вАШthe cow must have tensed when killedвАЩ (just want we want to hear, didnвАЩt know whether to laugh or cry at this point) she also carried on telling us about meat passport etc as a paying customer I couldnвАЩt care less would just have appreciated a decent meal ! this manager is clearly in the wrong position there were other tables sending food back and complaining and she clearly was out of her depth and felt that fobbing people off with these ridiculous responses was acceptable. We have now taken this further and contacted the relevant people who are currently in the process of resolving our complaint to a standard that should have been done at restaurant level. Word of mouth can make a big difference to a place and you have already lost the custom of 4 people and others we have told I feel very sad that our celebratory evening turned out the way it did we shall take our money and custom to a business that will actually provide good customer service
