How did we start? Well, our founder @anistaffordtownsend was looking for boutiques to sell her own millinery brand from and found the options lacking. There were independent milliners in the area, but no actual hat shops in Bristol. And the hat shops in Britain were either milliners selling exclusively their own brand or shops selling high end brands or mass produced items. So as ever, Ani said “someone really should do something... oh ok, I’ll do something”. And so Milliner...s’ Guild was born in 2012. It took until late 2013 for Ani to convince a landlord to rent her a retail unit, and this was our first window display!
