We had a perfect wedding day at the Milling Barn. Sue was exceptional during the planning stage and communication was great throughout. Catherine was brilliant on the day ensuring everything ran smoothly and on time. The food was fantastic and the picnic baskets went down a storm with our guests, perfectly fitting into the style of wedding we were hoping for! Many guests commented how beautiful the venue was - it provided a perfected setting for the relaxed, summer wedding we wanted. We cannot thank Sue, Catherine and everyone else involved in our day enough for making it a day we will never forget! We wouldn’t have changed a single thing!

We got married on 29th April and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I had high expectations but the day far exceeded everything. Ella and the team were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the food and service was amazing. I would do the day over and over again always at Milling Barn, it was the perfect venue for our special day. Thank you to all involved.

We got married here on the 16th June, Ella, Rob and the rest of the team couldn't have helped more. All our guests loved the food and service was brilliant!

The day ran smoothly, thanks to all the staff. Such a beautiful venue and would recommend to everyone I know.

We got married at milling barn on 1st April 2017 and thanks to Ella and the team we had an incredible day!



There were a number of changes in management which never seemed organised etc but within minutes of meeting Ella a matter of months ago we knew it was a different story this time and we weren't wrong. She was so lovely and very professional and helpful.



The venue is stunning with beautiful surroundings which our many guests complemented.

Wanted to leave a quick review as I cannot recommend Milling Barn more highly as a wedding venue. We had been to several venues across the country, including even booming and cancelling one that wasn't right, but as soon as we found Milling Barn we knew it was the one! A huge shout out to Ella who is the absolute pin and hero of the operation there, they are very lucky to have her. From our first meeting with Ella we knew we were in safe hands, she always responded quickly with answers to all our queries and I have never felt more assured right up to and on the day of the wedding. The day went without a single hitch (all down to Ella and the Milling Barn team) the guests loved the venue and we were even so lucky with the weather that I got my dream ceremony in the woodland (you HAVE to look at this if you are having a summer wedding it is truly majestic). The canapés, food and drink were all incredible and the catering staff were absolutely on it, lovely and polite...we also went for the reception cocktails option as a surprise for our guests at around 7pm ... I highly recommend this as great intro when evening guests arrive and 100% worth the money!They set up a cocktail station with a barman outside and your guests get to make the cocktails of your choice, it is genius, our guests absolutely loved it and we got some AMAZING photos! I just want to say the biggest most heartfelt thank you to Milling Barn, Ella and the whole team of amazing staff who are absolutely nailing it and gave myself and husband the most carefree day (for someone who is a control freak) it couldn't have gone better and they are 100% to thank!!!! Xxx

Catherine, Ella, Laura, Danielle, Andy and the whole team were thoroughly helpful, polite and efficient throughout our planning process and on the day itself. We came with a last-minute enquiry as our previous venue had fallen through, and we had a tight budget - but the team were not put off and worked hard to make everything just right for us.



We had a totally perfect day. Thank you ever so much.

Thank you Ella and Rob for making our wedding day run so smoothly. We didn't have to think about a thing. Although the weather did not hold out for the woodland wedding we had planned, the indoor ceremony room is beautiful and has a woodland feel to it.

Milling barn is a beautiful venue run by some of the loveliest people around. My husband and I had such a wonderful day. We've not stopped talking about how smooth it all went and how good the food was! Those picnic hampers are such a win!!! Just the perfect venue, perfect staff to create the perfect day. My wife and I saw this venue first and really we knew then we would choose it, we thought it best to look at some more but 5 venues later we always come back to choosing Milling Barn. The staff run the day to perfection the guests said that the meat platters we had were just gorgeous and some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Ella and her team are always on hand to help from the moment you choose the venue to the morning after the event itself.



Couldn’t recommend it any more highly for cost, standards and service.

After a rocky start after we booked in October 2015, our journey has been seamless since Ella started at Milling barn. She has been organised, flexible and most important available to speak to whoever we have needed her.

During our meetings the team were transparent with all of our choices and the costs that would go with these. They were able to help us adapt the choices available to meet our needs.

The team made each of our vendors feel welcome both before and on the wedding day even when they were demanding �.

Ellas and her teams organisation and management of the day was spot on and the day flowed seamlessly despite the rain.

The food/drink both at the wedding breakfast and the evening were fantastic and a lot of our guests commented on how tasty the burgers were �



Milling barn is truely a beautiful venue which I am so pleased we were able to use for our special day.

Had the most amazing day last week for our wedding at milling barn. We knew that we loved the venue from the second we visited but having seen other beautiful venues too, it really was Ella who sealed the deal for us and made us choose milling barn. Ella was so knowledgeable and professional and went out of her way to help with any requests we had, instantly making us feel at ease with her warm and friendly approach.

The actual day ran so smoothly (all thanks to the staff) and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and how lovely the food was.

I genuinely could not have wished for a better day and if I could do it all again tomorrow I would! So thank you so so much for everything xx

Ella is a very valuable asset to Milling Barn. We had some ups and downs during planning at the very beginning with some staff changes but as soon as Ella came on board she was very understanding and went above and beyond to help us create our dream day. We were married on the 26th May, lucky for us it was a lovely sunny day and I got my dream of an our door wedding in the woodland which looks stunning when dressed up. We were also lucky to pick a date with no wedding the day before so had time to make the venue exactly as we wanted it and avoid a stressful wedding morning! Ella did a run through for my bridal party the day before too so we knew when to start our walk down the isle etc. All of the staff worked very hard, the food was amazing. We had wood fired pizza as our evening food and although I am gutted I didn't actually get round to having any - I have been informed it was lovely.(Jenny at the Chopping block was very helpful when we were deciding on our food choices and having our food tasting.) A big thank you to Ella and the team at Milling Barn.

Ella and her team were absolutely amazing on our wedding day (6th august 2017). The day went by without a hitch and was honestly the best day of our lives! Her team were efficient, polite and communicative. I could not recommend using them enough. We had so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of the venue & the food was loved by all (even the fussy ones!). Thank you Ella, Rob and your brilliant team. We wish we could do it all again.

Despite a change of staffing at the beginning of our booking, the whole process and the day ran so smoothly. We both loved the venue as soon as we saw it, it's great that you have the whole place just for your wedding and there's lots of space for guests. Both myself and my new husband had an amazing day at our wedding. All the staff where happy to help and was so organised! The running of the day was seamless and I didn't have to worry about a thing. From booking the venue to the day both Ella and Rob where they to help with any questions we had and where such a big support on the day! The food was amazing and all our guests loved the sausage and mash! All the other staff where amazing and even said bye when they had finished and congratulated us which was a really nice touch!
