Sometimes buying a house is quick, sometimes it takes a lot longer than anticipated. A family I have been looking after recently, put their previous house on the market Feb 2018, and have just got the keys to the new house. . They certainly went through a whole load of emotions. I don't have a magic wand, I will certainly do what I can to help, but one thing I can promise... I am here, for YOU! . I don't work for the bank or building society, or the mortgage lender, or an... estate agent, there is only one person that I am doing my job for- so when you need someone on your side, through those ups and downs, I am right here. . And yes, I did do a little squeal of excitement the moment I found out they had the keys!! 🏠🔑🎉

At the moment most of the mortgages that I am assisting with are for families buying a new home.
99% of the time the initial work starts long before the existing homes are on the market and before the new home is found.
This is not only really important with regards to the finances, but I love the fact that it gives me a chance to really get to know you.
... It's an honour to see the journey you are on and be a part of it with you. So when you finally get the keys - I feel genuinely happy for you.
This also means I secretly look forward to when your mortgage needs reviewing so I can pop round to the new place for a cuppa!!

Before the creation of modern-style banking institutions, people commonly stored their money at home — not under the mattress (or hay rack), but in common kitchen jars. During The Middle Ages, metal was expensive and seldom used for household wares. Instead, dishes and pots were made of an economical orange-colored clay called pygg. Whenever folks could save an extra coin or two, they dropped it into one of their clay jars — a pygg pot.
Over time, "pygg" evolved with the English alphabet, turning into "pigge" and, finally, "pig." That explains why potters in 19th century England started making pig-shaped vessels when people asked for pygg banks. It might have been accidental, but the model's been with us ever since.
