Used this camp site quite a few time in the past. Good site clean and tidy, toilets clean and tidy. Bit soft on bottom field if raining. I have always stopped in a large camper so had to use busses and taxis to go to town. (taxi £4.50) as its about one & half miles. Walk down taxi back.. Only bad side is the road noise in the day. ok after 9 10ish in evening.. Van most morning with papers bread milk etc.. YES I will stop again.. You get NO reduction on price for being c+cc member..

Depressingly dark small camp site. Right by the side of the road therefore much traffic noise 24/7, and even visible from the road. Old toilet building. No play area for kids over 7 yrs. Misleading web site.

clean site and nice staff . remember to take plenty of change with you . I was very disappointed that you had to pay for showers, hot water....concidering the fee per night . Evan in the cheapest campsites you get free hot water and showers

Terrible camping, next to busy road and bad sanitair. Only one simple shower for the whole site! Small places, the worst camping out of 12 visited this holliday.

Two persons, two nights, arrived by car, stayed in a single tent. August bank holiday weekend 2012. Cost £40.

The site's location makes this an excellent base for anyone looking to explore the wonderful Minehead-Porlock domain of the Exmoor and south-west coast.

At first one might be put off by the site's proximity to the A39, but after dark the traffic tends to quieten down to a level that is (perhaps) more comforting than total silence, and the minimal street lighting nearby allows some awesome skies on a cloudless night.

The tiered & pocketed layout of the site means that you always have a sense of privacy even during the peak holiday periods, and the central location of the toilet facilities means you never have far to go when nature calls!

The toilet facilities are mostly excellent and are cleaned daily, but with only a single shower it is easy for a queue to form, Some might be put off by the 20p shower charge but compared to some other sites' charges these days, this is just an inconvenience rather than a ludicrous hidden cost.

My best advice however is to check the pitch costs before arrival - the peak period mark-up might catch you by surprise at £10pppn.
