Warning! This is another scam artist trying to con people out of money! Again they are claiming that they own a several caravans that they rent out. One of which they claim is at Butlins. This is not the case! Please do not handle over any money to this person!

User

Due to the scumbags who seem to be happy to scam people of their hard earned money, we have made the decision that we will now abolish the 4% handling charge for PayPal payments to give people some protection. Please please please stay safe everyone! We only take bookings through our website (mineheadresortholidays.co.uk). Make sure that you are dealing with us directly! We do not rent through any agents or other people. Although we do offer discounts at times, remember that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is... We took our 2.7 year old boy in April. We absolutely loved it. The food was excellent. The entertainment was very good. The accommodation was fantastic. One thing spoilt it... When it rains you get soaked going to the restaurant, it would be very easy to have covered walkways. Apart from that and the noisy people making their way back to their accommodation at midnight, it was perfect.

User

We have used Phil & Donna's willerby sierra caravan twice and have booked a third break with them for the end of the year. We can't recommend them enough. Brilliant service and a lovely caravan. Perfect for our little family of three. Our toddler loves it and regularly asks to go back to the caravan. The caravan is a short walk from butlins entertainment and a nice stroll into town will get you to any shops you need. The caravan has everything you need whilst there. We're looking forward to staying again, we wouldn't use anyone else.

Second time we’ve been, several times my partner has been. It’s amazing from the moment you drive in, kids we’re constantly being entertained, from the red coat staff, skyline gang, arcade machines, fairground, parks, swimming, soft ply area and little stars fairground. The food at the diner and fire house was lovely. Quayside is a must for families, breakfast and tea. Our new silver Apartment was lovely, cleanliness was outstanding. Price wise was average. Cinderella rocks was a hit for all of us, great humour for all ages. Definitely be booking to go back for next year.

User

Second day here and we love it. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. Amazing for the little ones - so much to do. The water park / swimming baths are amazing - pool temp is also warm which is good as my little one prefers a swim in warmer water! So far, amazing!

User

Love Butlins theme weekends. Always excellent entertainment and the dining hall food is wonderful and top quality. Stayed in lakeside chalet which was amazing. Super comfy bed and all the comforts of home plus lake with ducks & geese and palm trees in garden. Heating was a bit too hot and we had to open windows because we couldn't turn the heating down nor off which seemed a waste of butlins money. Chalets are at the top side of the park so away from noise and drunks. Fabulous weekend as always! Would suggest butlins redesign the centre stage venue. The dance floor is obviously for standing & dancing but it's impossible to see the bands on stage from the seats when the dance floor is full. The seating areas need raising up a bit more - like Reds.

User

Had a great time at the 'Giants of Rock' Festival. The staff were brilliant, especially in the restaurant. Kamil and Carl on the door and the inside staff. Security staff were very friendly and helpful at the event. My mate and I have already booked for next year while we were down there. See you in 2019. Only slight down side was I was unable to get a 'Giants of Rock' 2018 T-Shirt in a large. Only 2XL were available!

User

Brilliant weekend food great was half board. Was great to have breakfast till 11am so after a late night not having to get up too early. Lots of choice and lots of it. Staff all friendly and helpful. Rooms ok clean and tidy bed very comfortable and even though it was so cold outside chalet very warm & cosy

User

All for the kids. Adult weekend is a different matter but this time was a break for the kids and was all they wanted really. They get doted on from all staff and entertained from start to finish. Always shop around and get the best deal you can though. Been to Bognor now Minehead and time to complete the set at Skegness next time. Prefer minehead to Bognor think the kids like it that way too. Would defiantly come back here and recommend to friends with kids.

User

A great weekend was had by all of us delving back into our youth, listening to the music of the 80s. Some of the music was provided by the original artists, a pleasure to see. The accommodation was straight out of Hi-di-hi, though the accommodation had been updated and was comfortable and clean. A great weekend thoroughly recommend.

User

We stayed in the lakeside chalets which were modern, luxurious and vastly superior to the stereotypical British resort 'grotty ran down' accommodation often associated with such places. We got the premium dining package which was also excellent. The kids loved it and good quality entertainment, my only criticism is the poor layout of Reds, the slightly out-dated splash world which was not cleaned frequently enough and the obvious evidence that much of the resort was of the older much less appealling chalets which took away from the aspired look and feel.

User

We had a bad start because our original room was dirty and didn’t have a cover on the light but as soon as we mentioned it the staff were amazing and gave us a upgrade to a beautiful apartment and we had a amazing time and loved staying at Minehead. ❤️

User

We booked Gold chalets but found them cramped and decidedly tatty. Moved to Silver chalets as they were a lot more roomy but again looking very tired. Bit of mould on the curtains in the back bedroom. A lot of the accommodation needs updating and a bit of a refurbrefurbishment. This was not a cheap holiday so expect reasonable chalets. Having said that there is a lot to do and the staff are very helpful. Will probably go to Centre Parcs rather than Butlins in future until they spend some money on the place.

User

Third year this year and tried the Lakeview chalet was amazing, premium dining also fantastic. Couple of issues for us were housekeeping wasn’t great, half jobs done and towels left in pile in lounge for us to distribute ourselves. Every door in chalet is a fire door and I know that is a good thing but when you have toddlers they either get stuck in a room because they are too heavy for them to open and luckily it didn’t happen to ours but they slam so hard I dreaded fingers being in them!

User

Stayed here for 80s weekender.. we had a great time but a few issues. A fight broke out at the bar at 7.30pm on Saturday evening... security took ages to arrive and when they did the lads who beat the guy up weren’t even asked to leave as far as I’m aware. Yet apparently they don’t tollorate violent behaviour?

We paid for a gold appartment as we had stayed in the gold before at Skegness. Unfortunately the metal frames of the buildings are all rusty so look really tired in comparison to Skegness. I would expect the gold to be in top condition out of all the apartments.

kitchen nice and new with dishwasher, microwave, kettle oven etc.

Bed super comfy! Nice pillows and duvet. Tv in bedroom although very tiny was nice to have.

Pizzas at ludo Italian very nice but we went for a meal on last night and had pasta dishes.. all different but all very bland so that was bit disappointing. Service extremely slow in there too. Took them about 25 minutes to clear our starter plates and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. We didn’t leave a tip.

Music line up was ok... Sonia, Chesney hawks first night was fab... other acts not so impressive but had fun anyway.. Website advertised Elton John tribute but wasn’t there.

Bobby davro was fantastic!! What a treat we weren’t expecting. Loved it.

Water park brilliant... 80s pool party was Great.

Supermarket great. Everything u need and not over priced either however there is Tesco... Morrisons and Lidl across the road.

10 minute walk into Minehead.. went to hairy dog for Sunday carvery which was nice.

Overall butlins was good but didn’t quite live up the standards at Skegness however the area of the country is much nicer.

Might look into a 90’s weekend for next year.

Check out is 10am on the Monday... fine for us but some definitely didn’t make it 😂

Thanks for great weekend butlins.

Just got back from being on the tots week with our 2 x 5yr olds. Overall we had an Absolutely amazing time. Only problems we had with it was there was some stuff for them to do but was lacking in activities for older kids and everything seemed to shut really early such as pool/fair which as it was tots week that's understandable. Would like to visit again on a normal week however at 3 x the price I'm not sure it's affordable.

As far as accommodation goes. We rented a gold apartment. I wouldn't have said it was gold standard. From the outside, Looked run down, paint peeling off stairs. Hand rails looked tired. However the hour earlier check-in was handy. The apartment itself inside was nice. However the double bed was so soft that both myself and my wife's backs were in agony by the second night so we booted the kids into the double and we took the single beds which were alot firmer for the remaining 2 nights. Water pressure in the shower in the apartment left alot to be desired was like standing under a leaky tap.

We had the premium dining package. Which was amazing. We had some fantastic meals and it was good to just have all the meals taken care of and the kids could eat whatever they wanted for breakfast and dinner and we didn't have to worry about them being fussy. They ate a metric tonne of watermelon and sausages.

The kids really enjoyed the different play areas. The Fort! Adventure Park, soft play area. And the fairs. They also loved the pool.

All the staff were so welcoming, the girls loved speaking to everyone especially Lucas at the desk for the deck and yaught restraunt.

Thank you for an overall fantastic week holiday. And we look forward to returning. However on our second trip might opt for different accommodation(beds) or ring up in advance to check on the activities for the week.

User

Went for the GOR weekend. Silver Accommodation good. Clean, warm not draughty and better than we have experienced at Skeggy. The evening food however was piled high, a plentiful self service But most of it cold including the soup. The breakfasts we good. We prefer centre stage and Reds at Skeggy. Security and door staff friendly and helpful. I went down with the flu and just wanted a sit down and a quiet coffee, impossible. Noise at every turn, l know what weekend it was that’s what we went for! Long drive for us and won’t go back through preference not our cup of tea I’m afraid.

User

The general complex was very good, but the waiting outside in the rain to get a seat in reds, made my 7 month old ill, it was either wait in the rain or go later and have to stand up, not good options to choose from really.. The flame grill restaurant would not take us without a booking yet the place was empty and when we walked past an hour later it was still pretty much empty so they could have seated us, other than that it was a good holiday abit over priced though.

User

Just returned from our half term break. Good facilities for the children (5 yrs old), especially indoor fair and softplay area. Stayed in gold accommodation; it was clean and homely. The food court had great choice of meals and unlimited drinks. Good supermarket on campus and across the road is tesco, Morrisons and lidl. Also, the sandy beach is adjacent. The downside to the location of butlins in minehead is the 30 miles of winding roads after the M5. Never ending and a complete killer. On the whole a good break but we prefer Bognor.

User

Left from Minehead today... The seatbelts on the rides are short and Butlins makes no effort to provide seatbelt extensions for taller or larger people. Tried to ride the bumper cars and a few other rides and the seatbelts are inadequate period. Shame on you. Your staff even agrees with me that you “The Management “ do not do enough. Fix it....end of

Second day here and we love it. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. Amazing for the little ones - so much to do. The water park / swimming baths are amazing - pool temp is also warm which is good as my little one prefers a swim in warmer water! So far, amazing!
