Go here quite a lot now. Went when it first opened was not impressed at all. Since then it has only gotten better. Food is really nice , staff are really friendly. Sean the chef who is there most times doing the carvery is such a nice, helpful young man. He is always smiling and always has time for you xx we did go the other night and a young lady was serving the carvery she was so miserable never smiled x

Couldn't fault the Miner's peg. It is bright and nicely decorated with a small but solid children's ourdoor play area with picnic tables near and a large covered outdoor space for dining. There is also an indoor area with play equipment for little ones.

The staff were helpful and friendly, couldn't ask for more. The service was good, the food was hot and tasty. The meat from the carvery was top class especially the beef that I had. Two main courses for £10 on weekdays as well. Great value.

Carvery is good can't go wrong with 2 for a tenner in the week. Service and staff excellent....

had a carvery and it was very nice really enjoyed it. Service was good even though it was busy.

Past visits have left myself and fiance underwhelmed it's either something on the menu isn't available or the food just not nice. However last night the food was amazing even after having to go with a second choice as the bubble banger pud was not available. Friendly waitress too... keep it up next time you may get a 5 star :)

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. My husband and me both had fish and chips and it was really nice. Staff were really friendly too and the tables etc were lovely and clean.

I have been to the Miners Peg about 4 times, it is not the worst I have been to but not the best either... its clean and local but basic...could do with a few more menu options....Carvery is nice but my daughter only got one slice of meat and they only have roast potatoes no boiled or mash...not everyone eats just roasty's.. the soft drinks are refillable for free which is a plus....hence the 3 stars.

Carvery was nice but a bit cold � enjoying strawberry gin � the sky box fell off the tv an nearly hit Joanne on the head �

Went for a last minute meal with my partmer and two kids i had a mixed grill, steak was meant to be medium to well was raw.

Partner got half roast chicken which had a funny taste. Kids picked at there's. Most of our meal was left.

Will not be going again this is the second visit and he first wasn't much better.

I would just like to thank you for an awful experience today. I ordered a carvery meat salad and that was more like beef with a side salad then to top it of one of your male members of staff was cleaning the table when he spilled gravy all down me and I mean ALL over, all he did was say “am sorry about that, i didn’t know it was there” and passed me a cloth that had been used to clean tables with to clean my self up. Worst thing was I was on my lunch break from work and had to go back to work COVERED in gravy with just a mere “sorry”

Very poor. Had the ends of the world burger. Burger tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and put back on a griddle today. The brisket burnt ends looked liked someone had just wiped gravy off some winalot prime and it tasted like someone had just diced up some roast beef. Not what brisket burnt ends are ment to be like at all. One sad lonely piece of brown lettuce.( nice touch using bbq sauce to hide the brown bits on the lettuce). Even the chips were of a poor quality and tasteless. not worth the money at all.

Unimpressed with the customer service, asked for a beef lasagna, they put through a vegetarian lasagna, when I took it to the bar to amend this error, the manager not only couldn’t confirm wether or not the meal in front of me was meat or vegetarian, also walked away from me with the dish halfway through me speaking to her, then after coming to the table accusing my family and I of ordering wrong, walked away again whilst trying to speak to her. Customer service is absolutely appalling and the food is below par. Definitely won’t be returning.

They use the meat who don’t sell on the day to prepare the mix grill. The manager was very aggressive with me when I inform him. I go at the bar to let him know my issues but ���...I hope the owner don’t wanna grow the business like this. The bartender and the waitress very very nice.

Sat waiting around for over an hour for our food, can’t believe it takes an hour to stick fish fingers in a microwave and they must have ran the Asda for some salad, or they had to wait for it to grow.

Then the other meal was totally wrong. There must not have been a cow in the car park to sort some beef brisket out. Shite.

Meal was ruined with watered down gravy and rock hard roast potatoes,1 slither of meat,no table check from staff and complained to what I presume was the manager he reply was “do you want something else” obviously I was on my way out of the place

First visit went well, food was nice, such a shame that this time we went it was absolutely awful, we both ordered the nachos, recieved tiny portions and both lots were somehow burned, we both ordered the yorkshire pud wrap, it came dry and flavourless, the pudding itself was more like a childs first attempt at a pancake that went horribly wrong, ae shall not be returning, absolute waste of tine and money, worst £33 i ever spent
