Thank goodness my cake making skills are better than my videoing... Lush summer fruits, can’t go wrong with them. Cut figs very trendy currently on wedding cakes. Semi-naked cakes which have a slight covering of buttercream do keep the cake moist in this gorgeous sunny weather we’ve been having.

Due to a family bereavement which happened quite quickly after the onset of illness I have been slightly on the distracted side. Most of my regulars know I'm chaotic with my admin at the best of times....(yes really) so I apologise for being even more random than usual. Thank you for your patience at this difficult time. xx

It's a day of news to be sure... for late booked weddings this year and from January 2019 I'm lucky enough to be working in conjunction with the Centurion Hotel in Midsomer Norton for their Glass Slipper Packages. My involvement will include a wedding consultation to taste cake and design the perfect bespoke wedding cake, create the most wonderful cake and set it up on the wedding day. I'm honoured to be included with other brilliant local suppliers in making perfect wedding days.

I’m always totally overwhelmed by the generosity of my clients, their loveliness goes without saying. We’re unavailable to take last minute bookings as we’re caked out. Thank you for your understanding xx

Designability is an amazing Charity who make devices for all sorts of people to help with their daily lives, from kid scooters to clocks for the elderly. Prince Edward got to cut and eat this cake... second member of the Royal family to have eaten a slice of Minky Kitten Cake!!

This sophisticated lady was leaving her job, she was in charge of packaging items hence all the boxes behind her. There are many cakes l send out without having had a chance to photograph them. Please do send me photos of you/loved ones with your/their cake if you don’t mind me using them. Celebrating is all about the people not the cake, but sharing cake does always help 😊! (I would say that wouldn’t l?!) xx

What a gorgeous weekend it's been for wedding couples in terms of the weather. It's always a privilege and an honour to be entrusted with making a couple's wedding cake. Thankfully as we white chocolate ganache all our cakes before the decorating even begins, the heat doesn't affect their clean, sleek look (and they taste luxurious too) xx

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs A. A different mix of flowers with Calla lilies and roses. Couples send me flowers they are using so we can match colours and flower types. Tiers of vanilla, raspberry and chocolate with chocolate orange.

This advert was in the latest Family Matters magazine which tends to go home in children’s school bags. It was May’s issue, but you can still get a 10% if you book before end of June. We now hold parties from age 5 upwards. Call us to book your party xx

There is no way I could pass this cake off as mine! It’s was super! The cake was truly tasty - one lemon and one chocolate - so moist and scrumptious it all went on the birthday weekend - no leftovers at all! It was a fantastic castle with king, queen, prince and princess as requested by my 5 year old.

A real centrepiece and talking point for the party! My daughter was sooo happy.

Very impressed that it was delivered too, I’ve always had to go and collect cakes when I’ve got them from other places, it was lovely to have it delivered when I was busy setting up the party.

My daughter is gluten intolerant and i wanted something really special for her 30th birthday. Sarah-Jane and Minky Kitten Cakes really came up trumps! We opted for a lemon flavoured cake, and it not only tasted delicious but was so beautiful to look at with a cascade of 'roses' over the top. Everyone at her party loved the cake, needless to say there wasn't a lot left! Thank you to Sarah-Jane and her team for producing a real show-stopper.

I've been to a unicorn cake topper class tonight and absolutely loved it! I genuinely have been completely incapable of making sugar models in the past. Sarah Jane has managed to teach me to make a unicorn on a board, complete with golden horn, flowing locks and a rainbow background. She is very patient, and explains things so well. Highly recommended, I'm eyeing up the Christmas class. Thanks again x

I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to Roz & SJ for my amazing wedding cake that they made for me back in April���

I knew exactly what I wanted, design wise and shape and they really brought it to life.

I had a 4 tire, tall, slim cake that was silver, white, with sequins, lace and shimmer. Also a lovely surprise was a icing version of our dog Murphy, which we loved.

We had 1 layer of chocolate, 1 layer of coffee, 1 layer of lemon and the top was a dummy�

It really was stunning and tasted amazing. We only brought home a small amount (which I was disappointed about�) but it really was lovely that so many of our guests enjoyed it.

I can’t recommend you ladies enough�

I had a fantastic day at the cake studio learning how to decorate an Easter cake. I learnt step by step to cover a cake board, then marzipan/ice the cake. The best bit was creating the bunny and flowers for the top. I can't wait to show the family my work on Easter Sunday!

Highly recommended for the most amazing cakes; both in look and taste. We've used Minky Kittens for every occasion we can possibly think of as an excuse for a cake and every single one has been brilliant. Sarah Jane has done our wedding cake, several birthday cakes, our little boy's christening cake and each one has been a unique and delicious piece of art.
