�� I took my cousin wedding shopping to Mirage after a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed!! My cousin didnt quite inherit the typical bride gene and felt slightly unnerved however Mirage made the experience magical for her...



The staff were great...so friendly and more importantly down to earth...infact i spent the majority of the appointment in stitches...not what we ve found with a lot of snooty wedding shops! Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definately recommend!

Wow! We could not have had a better experience with Mirage. Not only did I get my wedding dress here but 7 bridesmaid dresses. Despite some difficult bridesmaids Lindsey was incredible and so patient at every appointment. They made me feel so special and the dresses fit perfectly. This is the place for your wedding dress!

Well today's the day, it's finally here. I just wanna say a massive thanks to to the girls at mirage couture for helping me find the perfect dress for me! I highly recommend everyone with a wedding/prom coming up to just book and appointment and give the girls a chance to wow you I went to a few different shops and have to say this is one was just am amazing the service and just the whole experience. I will be posting photos later and showing off my gorgeous dress! Thank you so much again.

Visited this week with my daughter to view potential prom dresses. Made an appointment, however we did arrive early. We were greeted by Janice and Lindsey who really could not do enough for us. They were polite, helpful and also gave us all the information we needed with regards to pricing and styles. We were looking for a dress with a lower budget and the ladies understood this and tactfully showed us the dresses within our price range. My daughter chose and tried on a dress, again, the ladies both made her feel very comfortable and readily offered their advice and support. They offered alternative ideas for us and basically made the whole experience a pleasure. Nothing was too much. I would highly recommend Mirage Couture and feel so fortunate we paid them a visit. We walked away with the dress there and then! Thank you Jan and Lindsey. In addition the shop was very spacious and with so much choice.

This wedding dress shop made me, my mum and bridesmaids feel so welcome. I was very anxious about the whole experience, they gave us all a hot drink and made it relaxing (only wedding dress shop to offer us a drink in Sheffield). They have a huge selection and I was able to touch and pick the dresses myself, they then found ones that I would like too. As it is a big shop I was able to move and walk in the dresses, so I got a real feel for them. They let me try accessories and veil with the dresses. They were flexible with the timings too and I didn't feel rushed out the door like some others I have been to. Best of all they gave me some beautiful free earrings at the end of the appointment! Thanks so much, plus I said yes to a dress!! X

I would have given them more but there was only 5 stars.... I went to them after finding they stocked the Alfred Sung range for bridesmaid dressers in January, I found them so helpful, kind, honest that they put me completely at ease. I found out it was too late to order in a new dress for most of the collections... so would need to choose from the shop stock... Can I say this worked like a dream! It was the second dress for me to try on and I felt instantly comfortable and it just worked perfectly. Without the help of Jan, Lyndsey and Michelle I don't think I would have enjoyed this whole process as well as I did by anywhere else.



I received so many lovely comments over the dress choices and in the end bought my bridal dresses, 5 bridesmaid dresses and 2 flower girl dresses and was completely satisfied and over the moon with every one!



I cannot recommend them enough highly enough for service, quality and experience.

I visited Mirage this morning with my Sister to try and find me a bridesmaid dress for her wedding. We had booked in for 11 o clock and were greeted by friendly staff on arrival. Our consultant was Grace and she let us have a browse while she made the drinks. I explained what style I would prefer to wear and she pulled several styles for me to try on. I found that she was very patient and helpful and I was very comfortable with her. I later found out that I was her first ever appointment, so big thumbs up Grace (I hate trying clothes on). I was dreading going but our time there was fab. Can't wait to wear the dress now. Thankyou Mirage :)

I visited Mirage on Saturday with my daughter to choose her wedding dress. The whole experience was excellent from the moment we walked in with Lindsey greeting us and offering us a drink, she then explained how everything would work and left us to browse through the dresses and to choose 6 for my daughter to try on. Lindsey kept coming back to us at intervals to make sure we were ok and if we needed any help. Once the 6 dresses had been selected we were shown into a large private room where we had all the time in the world for my daughter to try on and retry the dresses. Lindsey was very professional at all time explaining everything as we went along. Once we were down to 2 dresses and looking for the plusses minuses of each dress then Lindsey offered her advice at no point had she tried to influence us in which dress to choose. My daughter wanted to wear a tiara and veil that her sister had worn if it matched her chosen dress, this was not a problem there was no pressure to buy either of these items from Mirage. Togethers thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would have no hesitation recommending Mirage to anyone. We will be back for the bridesmaids dresses in the new year. Thank you Lindsey.

I got my bridesmaid dress from here 9 years ago for my brothers wedding and had a good experience so I headed back now it’s my wedding - I dealt with Jan & Lyndsey & they were both amazing - it always felt completely about finding me the right dress, without being influenced by their opinions or the price tag! I will definitely be back in the new year for my bridesmaid dresses! �� Great experience, would definitely recommend to other brides. �

I bought my bridesmaid dresses from mirage for my wedding on 5th August and everything from the dresses to the service and even the in house alterations was fantastic. The dresses were just beautiful and I found them at a much better price from mirage compared to other places I had looked. I was so pleased with them - thank you!

I went to try some wedding dresses on last August, I booked an appointment and knew which style I wanted (after previously trying some on in a different wedding shop). However, the lady could not find any my size (12/14). They were all too small. So she got me a smaller dress and told me to just put my arms though and imagine what it would look like. Luckily I had found my dream dress that morning at a different wedding shop, un be-known to me at the time, or I would have left feeling down heartened and fat! I did however get lovely free earrings when I left. There just needs to be a range of sizes available. X

I've rated them 2 stars as the prom dress they supplied was lovely. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the service.



Lyndsey, who did the fitting, was cheery and helpful, but Jan (who's badge said she was 'the manager') was poor on a whole other level.



When we were shopping around after christmas, we chose this store as it was close, reasonably priced and they said everything would be taken care of. They told us the dress would be ordered to measurements but that it would need alterations when it arrived that they would take care of following a fitting appointment, at a cost of £27.50 (in addition to the cost of the dress, which is fair enough).



After chasing for weeks, the dress arrived in June (5 months after ordering) and we went to have a fitting, only to be told when we got there that they were 'too busy' to do any alterations as their seamstress was pregnant and she couldn't cope!!!!



There was no offer of doing anything to help, we were expected to take the dress away and sort it ourselves, although they had another person who they could send us to they would not do any measurements and send it away to her for alteration.



In addition they said this person would charge between £60 and £70 !!!! (some sort of scam going on here maybe??) not the £27.50 they had promised, and when I pushed further the only answer I could get from Jan was that the seamstress "couldn't cope and what was she supposed to do".



I explained that we had chosen them on the 'all in service' they described, but Jan was only interested getting the balance owed on the dress and getting us out of the store. She had the card machine ready before my daughter had even come out of the changing room to show me the dress on !!!!! and said we would have to go away and find someone to do the alterations ouselves.



Not wanting to take the excitement away from my daughters special occasion, I paid and left disgusted, and fortunately found a seamstress who did a fantastic job for much less than the £60+ I expected, and when the seamstress did the fitting, she said the dress was at least 2 sizes too big anyway and had to take a massive amount off the bust area.



So beware, having read the reviews it would seem we are not the only customers who have suffered this fate at Mirage Couture.

This wedding shop is awful! I’m only a size 12 and didn’t fit into any dresses! The manager was very unhelpful, didn’t listen to what I was asking for and continued to attempt to squeeze me into dresses that would never fit! The appointment was horrible from start to finish and completely knocked my confidence!
