Nice and quite with 2 nice restaurants within 2 min walk, tolliet block has seen better days

Definitely do not go here with children they have an absolutely no fun policy! Children must be put on a leash at all times! The owner interupted our 1 night stay on several occasions,
he was rumaging through the bins and brought our bin bag back out of the bin because I didn't put it in the correct bin!!! (A few plastic bottles and cans) Children can only be seen outside their own pitch. No ball policy. Do not take children/dogs here.. really spoiled our bank holiday. Disapointed 0 out of 5

Would definitely not recommend this site for anyone with kids! The owner was quite rude with us and on several occasions came and told us that the kids can't play with their frisbee or football and that they wernt to go any were other than right in front of the tent. We also took the dogs with us as it states dog friendly yet when we got there, there was signs up stating 'No dogs' in various places. Thankfully we only spent one night there and couldn't pack up quick enough to get out of there this morning.

We stayed here at the beginning of July for 4 nights. On arrival at the site we found the owner quite friendly he showed us to our pitch. within hours we realised we had made a mistake and rapidly tried to find another site nearby yet there was no room at the inn so to speak. when i made the booking i asked if there were toilets and showers and was advised there was, yet when my daughter who ended up falling in a pile of sheep dung and went to ask where the showers were, we were told there weren't any so we had to clean her down with baby wipes and arrange to have showers at our relatives houses.
We were told we had to keep the children within a metre or 2 of the caravan at all times. The toilet facilities were shall we say very basic, infact i'd say the portaloo's you get on building sites would be considered to be 5* compared to this it was a little cubicle situated right next to a caravan. The light switch was quite high up the wall i'd say anyone under 5ft 4ins would struggle to reach it. while there was toilet roll provided the hand washing facilities consisted of a small hand basin an extremely used small cracked bar of soap and nothing what so ever to dry your hands. the flooring of the toilet area was shall we say appauling, actually it's more a case of unsafe as my foot went straight through it, luckily not causing me much of an injury just a few scratches.
I'd say this site would be suitable for a single night stop over but only if you're tall and dont mind taking a towel with you when you need to use the facilities.
At £8 per night you might say what else can you expect but to be honest i'd say it would have been more of a £4 - £5 a night site as we have stayed at other sites around this price range and was impressed with the overall quality of the site if £8 per night is average for the facilities we were forced to endure then i had better send a cheque to the other sites for a damn site more.
