I am probably pushing my luck a bit here but knowing that Mirfield is full of kind, innovative, helpful people you never know. So we have an old school room at the centre, its set away from the centre on its own. It is rundown and therefore unused. I have a lovely vision and idea that a few tradespeople might want to get together to put it right, make it useable etc. A couple of ideas that have been suggested are (1) A mancave, so you can pop along build stuff, natter have a ...fridge with beer in, a kettle you know all that man stuff. (2) A wellbeing centre, where the space could be rented out for allsorts, massage, mindfulness, different treatments. Ideally it would be lovely for people to get together to make it work. Any ideas? even better any willing volunteers? message the centre, pop in, phone us (01924 490835) we're not always there but we always answer messages.... fingers crossed!!

We have a nice sized garden at the Community Centre and need some help to get it established. We have recently had it all flattened and its ready for some tlc. Ideally we would love the community to take on this project. It would be ideal for someone who loves gardening but maybe doesn't have their own or only a small one. Maybe a small group of people who could do this between them?? We do hope one day to work with local school children who can come and plant/dig/see things grow etc so that needs building into the plan. If you are interested or know someone who may be then please get in touch. Donations of seeds, plants, compost, shrubs and equipment all welcome. This would be a voluntary job but so rewarding I hope! Please message on here or phone the centre (answer machine most of the time) but we will get back to you. 01924 490835
