It's impossible to get stuck in any one emotion. Allow yourself to feel the emotion in the moment without judgement, knowing that it will pass. Once it has passed you can observe the situation, along with your thoughts and emotions to decide whether they are true.
A reminder to stop holding tension in your body.
Recognising the difference between co-dependent thinking and boundary-led thinking.
An insightful article on repressed memories, and what you can do when they resurface.
No one is coming to rescue you. You have to find a way to rescue yourself, through self-love, forgiveness and compassion.
Depression and anxiety are often experienced together, resulting in life being very challenging for the sufferer. The focus isn't to stop the thoughts, but to stop giving them your attention and believing them. After all the negative thoughts are false and faulty, despite the anxiety and depression falsely believing they are protecting you.
The constant need to be busy all the time is a defence strategy, to avoid uncomfortable emotions, beliefs and thoughts.
Shame is such an uncomfortable emotion to feel in our body, therefore the subconscious will do everything within it's power to stop us from feeling it. But this means that we carry the unexpressed shame, reinforcing beliefs of not being good enough or loveable enough. What shame needs to heal is a voice, expression, understanding and empathy.

Love is about becoming the right person ❤️
Is it time you learnt how to calm your demanding anxiety toddler!
Real healing takes place when we are able to bring the unconscious & subconscious into the conscious mind, where emotions can be processed and more healthier and truthful perspectives can be formed.
Emotions are neither good or bad. They just are, and we are supposed to feel the whole range available to us. Problems arise when we judge emotions to be bad, and don't allow ourselves to feel them.
I hope you have a restful weekend.
Loyalty is important, but not when it comes to accepting bad and abusive behaviour of another person.
