I'm a photographer who believes in subtlety. Less is more. Some of the best pictures come from when a person doesn't realise they are being photographed, that's when they are themselves. The guard is down. Using this approach at weddings gives me the chance to get a true and honest sense of your day, to capture all the raw emotion, love and happiness. This approach also works with my family shoots, especially with kids. Relax, have fun, be yourself. "Pretend I'm not here" is something I say a lot and, whilst hard to do, when that guard comes down I get to work. Although it doesn't feel like work because I love what I do.
