Originally from Uruguay, DJ Marcel is known for his soul-awakening music that is uplifting. Having caught the DJ bug at the tender age of twelve when his father let him use a turntable with no pitch control, he learned to mix the hard way and made tapes for his friends. He broke into the scene in the late 80’s as one of the youngest performing DJ’s from humble beginnings at Davinchis and went on to play in Cannes, Miami, Italy, Lisbon, Madrid and South America. Having played drums in different bands, he began blending percussive instruments over his sets and draws on influences across all music genres to create a unique atmosphere wherever he is. Nowadays he works exclusively via personal recommendation (no advertising or websites) being consistently booked for private parties, corporate events and select weddings across the world. He has a passion through music for making sure people are enjoying themselves, whatever the occasion. / /

BBC Radio Kent interview at the The Food Fest, Lullingstone Castle where we were blessed with good weather! Enjoyed playing out DJ sets with Mark Kirby on Sax and Liam Quinn joining me on percussion. DJ Anna played two styled chilled DJ sets that everybody loved👌🎶 . Gourmet food, wonderful people and playing out positive vibes in between young talented live bands. I was asked at a training seminar what is a DJ ? It got me thinking that as a DJ rather than being content with playing music for ourselves, we love to play and share music with others.
