Replacing an original, longstanding home, the new, purpose built Moat House was officially opened by Angela Rippon OBE in 2013 following an £8m investment incorporating the latest disability equipment and adaptations.
Nestled in the village centre conservation area of Burbage in Leicestershire, Moat House enjoys an unrivalled reputation with care professionals and the local community and is close to the bus stop and the village post office, church, shops, pubs, library, doctor’s surgery and train station.
We offer first class accommodation with cosy lounge diners and en-suite showers in all bedrooms at reasonable prices, plus a working, 1960s reminiscence kitchen and DIY workshop to help stimulate the minds of residents with dementia.
With Wi-Fi throughout, the home also has a host of fantastic social facilities including 'Flicks cinema opposite ‘Cuppa’ café, ‘Horse and Hounds’ pub, and ‘Quiffs’ hair and beauty salon. Residents can also enjoy our relaxing, landscaped sensory gardens with the historical ‘Moat’ spinney walk.
