Molly Browns - Prom & Evening Dresses

My daughter was looked after by Dawn who was extremely patient with her as my daughter wasn’t really sure what style or colour she wanted. We didn’t feel pressured or rushed and my daughter has come away with a beautiful dress that she looks wonderful in. Would highly recommend.

I visited Molly Browns with my mother, auntie and sister to choose an outfit for my mum for my sister's wedding. We'd had a really tough year, but this was something we were looking forwards to. We weren't let down as we were all made to feel so welcome. The whole experience was beyond what we expected. When we arrived, a very nice lady welcomed us, took our coats and offered me and my auntie a cup of tea whilst my mum and sister started to look at outfits. Andrea was with us start to finish, she helped my mum pick out an outfit that my sister was also really happy with. It did take us well over an hour as my mum and sister are very indecisive though Andrea was very patient and you could tell she genuinely enjoyed what she was doing and knew a lot about the dresses. She also helped my sister find the bridal hairpiece for the wedding, which was a nice added bonus at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend a visit, thank you very much.

I was so impressed with the service I received from Nigel at Molly Brown's. I had a purely "online" experience and throughout the entire process, I felt Nigel was fully invested in my success. I'm located in the States and my order required multiples sizes, shipping back and forth and a willingness to work the process in hopes I would be happy. Without a doubt Molly Browns is the best prom dress shop for both choice and service. We first visited two years ago when my eldest needed a prom dress. The lady picked one we never would have looked at and it was perfect! This year was my youngest daughter's turn and we were not disappointed. Again the ladies were fantastic and suggested a dress my daughter would not have looked at but instantly fell in love with. The staff here are knowledgeable about their stock and give wonderful advice. Highly recommended!!

I would highly recommend this shop, I have had excellent service! After a phone call I ordered a dress for my daughters wedding, it arrived within two days. Unfortunately I needed another size, no problem after a very helpful conversation with Nigel who managed to locate another size for me, my lovely new dress arrived beautifully packed again within two days.

The personal service from Nigel and staff is something that is very rare nowadays, I will certainly be visiting this shop in York, and again online.

We had found my daughter's dream Sherri Hill prom dress. The only problem was that it was being sold from only one store in Glasgow, renowned for poor-quality, damaged stock and snooty, unhelpful staff.

Determined to locate the dress elsewhere, we searched online and the only other UK stockist we could find was Molly Brown's, some 200 miles away in York. They were selling the exact dress, at a special offer price and throwing in a gorgeous pair of shoes too! Sadly the offer was not available online, but only for in-store purchase.

I called the store to enquire anyway and was assisted by the utterly charming Nigel, who arranged for us to take advantage of the offer and agreed to post the dress (and shoes) to us in Scotland.

The dress arrived promptly, was beautifully packed and in perfect condition. We are so grateful for Nigel's help and can't praise the customer service we experienced when dealing with all of the staff at Molly Brown's highly enough.

As a Mum of three beautiful girls, we would certainly consider making a special trip to York to choose outfits for future special occasions - I'm confident it'd be worth the journey!

My family and I spent our Saturday at Molly Browns looking for wedding dresses for myself and a prom dress for my sister. It is such a beautiful shop with individual items and real special pieces. The staff are incredibly helpful and make you feel right at home. The whole experience was fantastic. Dawn at Molly Browns looked after us and has such a strong eye for knowing what will look amazing on you. My sister came away with the most beautiful prom dress. I would truely recommend this shop if you are looking for wedding or prom dresses. Thank you for making our weekend so enjoyable and special. Hope to see you again in March.

Really enjoyable experience. Took the stress out of prom dress shopping. Really helpful lady called Helen spent an hour with us and helped us choose a perfect dress for my daughters shape. The choice is extensive, so many beautiful dresses to choose from. They also sell shoes and accessories to match. They provided my daughter with shoes to try on with the dresses so she could see the full effect. I would highly recommend this shop and it's helpful staff.
