Word to the wise: If you have a choice between a larger serving and a smaller one.... Go for the bigger one. I didn't, more fool me. Desserts are nice too.

We visited on Sunday as a party of 6 (including a toddler) for a birthday celebration. It was our first visit to Momo No Ki and as some of the group hadn't eaten japanese food before the waitress gave a thorough low down on the dishes. We decided on 4 Japas dishes to start and each one was excellent. The mains again, were very good and the ingredients tasted really fresh. My daughter who is 2 thoroughly enjoyed her katsu chicken and noodles too! The service, food quality and general atmosphere was all in all great, we will certainly be visiting again soon !

We have been to Momo No Ki many times and it has always been brilliant but they excelled themselves on Monday.

I had booked a table as part of a girly night but knew my partner was disappointed that we were going to his favourite restaurant without him so when I booked the table I asked if there was any way that I could order a takeaway for him. I spoke to someone called Becky who said they didn't normally do takeaways but she would see what she could do. Within ten minutes, she returned my call and said that they could do it on this occasion and that it would be ready for when we arrived for our table. True to her word, it was handed over as we arrived and sent home with one very happy boyfriend - my next quest is to convince them to always have a takeaway option!

The food, as always, was fabulous. We shared sweet potato chips and tempura greens to start and both were delicious - not a scrap left on the plate is usually a good sign.

My two friends are both vegetarian and there was plenty of choice, even for the one who is a fussy eater at the best of times and won't eat anything spicy - 'Pimp my noodles' worked brilliantly for her as she chose the Korean mild bbq sauce and tofu and finished the lot!

My other friend chose Toga Toga Toga and loved the blend of textures and flavours with just the right kick.

I also 'pimped my noodles' and had the winning combination of ramen noodles and chicken in the Korean BBQ sauce topped with peanut sprinkles - absolutely delicious!

We didn't have puds on this occasion but we have done before and they have always been fab.

The service was excellent; it was the lovely Becky who had organised everything earlier and she was simply fab. Attentive but relaxed so the food and drinks appeared to arrive seamlessly. In fact, every time we have been the service has been second to none, even when it was packed out on Valentine's and on New Year's Eve. It is by far our favourite place to eat in Shrewsbury.

Everything served at Momo No Ki is made up of fresh, vibrant high quality ingredients and I know they try to source locally where possible - so for us, we feel it is excellent value for money. You can pay a lot more in other restaurants for the same bland food that you find in a dozen other places but Momo No Ki is unique. And fabulous!

Visited yesterday as another birthday treat from my wife. Just like our previous visit everything was perfect.



The food is amazing! The technical skill of the individual components are very impressive and they blend together perfectly.



We were served by a very pleasant and attentive member of staff who was very knowledgable of the menu and took the time to help us understand the menu.



Loved it. Perfect.

Ramen is amazing. Love it. The dumplings are actually fantastic.

We stopped past on the way from the north of Scotland to Bath for the amazing food. We used to live in Shropshire and we miss Momo's. No food like it. �

I know this review is a bit late but better late than never ... we had our work Christmas meal back in November. We had the upstairs all to ourselves lovely Becky was so helpful and very attentive she put all the tables together for us & dressed the table in all the festive things I gave her it looked lovely � the food was amazing � we had a great night one to remember everyone was very impressed thank you so much we will all be back for more ���

I have visited Momo’s a few times this year and every visit is the same.. delicious. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the chicken katsu is always fantastic. ��

Having visited Japan recently and tasted top quality Ramen we were craving a fix. We discovered Momo No Ki after a quick Google search and it did not fail to impress. The food was delicious and our waitress Jessa was very attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend Momo No Ki enough and we'll be back again soon with our family and friends.

Had a fantastic meal on Saturday with family , the tastiest , best meal we've all had for a long time . So relaxed and great service by Jessa , the hostess with the mostest ....... can highly reccomend Momo's to everyone !!! Many thanks xx @

Came here a few months ago. A little pricey if I'm honest. . Having said that the food is second to none and the puddings are absolutely amazing. Very creative!! Worth the money after all

Was a frequent customer to momo no ki over the past year. This was a go to place for any special occasion. Highly recommended to family and friends. Staff were always so helpful and the food was fantastic.



Went back today for the other halfs birthday meal. Both of us looking forward to enjoying another fantastic bowl from our favourite restaurant.



Was surprised to see it flying under a new banner of mono's. Shouldn't make a difference as long as the service and food remained.



This time the staff were polite but lacking the usual energy we had grown to love. The meal was a little cheaper under the new menu which we were happy to see.



The food arrived, salmon for my other half and chicken for myself under the pimp my noodle menu.



Mine was dry, over cooked and was very bland. My other half complained hers had burnt salmon and the oyster sauce she ordered was over powered with garlic.



Needless to say we left disappointed.



Can't believe they let the quality fall to such a shameful level. Won't be recommending this to any of my friends or family anymore unless they return to there former standard.

Having been to Momonoki a few times and being very impressed, also enjoying the Peach Tree food, I was happy to see the new look Momo's offering a take out service.

My wife and I have a young baby, making going out for meals a bit more of a challenge. It being my other half's birthday, we thought we'd celebrate with a take out from one of our favourite Shrewsbury restaurants.

After a quick call I discover you have to order in person at the restaurant. The lack of telephone/app ordering seems a bit of a pain in the current technological climate, but not a deal breaker.

I was greeted by the very friendly and helpful Jasmine, who explained how the menu was extremely limited for take out, completely dashing my wife's hopes of birthday Piggy Bits.

Anyway, I subsequently order two udon noodle bowls and wait 5 minutes in Havana Republic, bar devoid of any staff, to even order a beer while I wait for my food.

After a short wait, the lovely Jasmine presents me with my order and I make my way home. Sorry, but £25 for the food we received is unacceptable. My wife's Miso salmon was burnt and my pork was dry. Very underwhelmed considering previous eat in visits have been delicious. Urge anyone looking to take out to not bother. Over priced, very few options and poor execution. Not impressed at all.

Booked a table for a special event. Road works in Shrewsbury are causing chaos, so was going to be late. Called up to ask if our table would still be available but no one answered the phone. Left a message but got no call back. Upsetting to see such lack of service.

Very over priced food, although the service was very good. Big city prices.

You’ll be better off going to Asda and getting a pot noodle
